So after playing both PvP and PvE for these past few days here are the two cents from a D1 veteran: PvP First: Great job Bungie! The new 4v4 format + the changes to abilities and the weapons feel great. Engaging primary battles, tatctical usage of grenades and powerplay with powerammo and supers. For the first time in 4 years Destiny PvP actually feels balanced. Its a great thing you focused more on teamplay than just having the better super equipped. Love it! Now for PvE: Heres where the changes hit pretty hard. 20-25 Minutes for a strike is pretty long, and because abilities have 1.25 mins cooldown it feels even slower. Overall I felt really underpowered because powerammo was pretty rare and super cooldowns are extremely long. Having only 3-4 supers in 25 minutes is just... boring. You really, REALLY need to balance PvE and PvP separately. There's just no other way now. Reduce ability cooldowns to 45s and increase super gain by 50% in PvE. Maybe more powerammo drops. Granted we dont know what we'll be able to do with armor mods but right now its just way too slow. PvE is on a great path but I feel like its not quite there yet. Long strikes are cool with me if i'm having fun the whole time. Constantly wishing my grenade was up for clearing ads or beeing able to use my super to give some orbs to teammates is frustrating. If you are setting up these epic battles with a lot of ads we also need the tools to clear them somehow efficiently. Same goes for bulletsponge-bosses. All that beeing said, I really enjoyed exploring the strike area and farming for the weapons and armor. The locations look insane and I cannot wait to freeroam the planets, searching for lost sectors and whatever other secrets they may bear. The gunplay, sounddesign, mapdesign and battles are amazing. I hope the community can give you enough feedback so you can create a D2 experience we all want and need. PvE fans unite! Waiting patiently, Klickshot
