Dreg (Pike) - Dregs don't act differently at all... they can still drive pikes and can still shoot you.
Vandal (Resilient) - Vandals can now crawl, and they do it VERY fast.
Wretch (Resilient) - Wretches are a rank possibly lower than a Dreg. They carry Shock Spears.
Marauder (Resilient) - The New Stealth Vandal, has the ability to go COMPLETELY invisible. They only appear visible when idle or about to hit you. Just like Vandals, they can crawl.
Shank (Resilient) - Shanks... yeah that's all I have to say.
Servitor (Unyielding, Prime Ether) - Servitors now have the ability to "tether" a nearby Fallen and give them an immunity shield and heal them in the process. Large Servitors still have the ability to "eat" nearby foes.
Captain (Resilient, Despoiler) - Captains now take their roles more seriously. They teleport more aggressively and can hold their guns with one arm. They also have very fashionable fur scarfs.
Bosses: Prime Ether Servitor
Notes: Resilient Fallen have silver armor as opposed to the normal yellowish gray. So far Unyielding Servitors have no difference to normal Servitors. Despoiler Captains are gold.
The Prime Ether Servitor looks similar to the Wolf Servitors or the Pilot Servitors in the House of Wolves DLC.

Anyone else miss the original House of Devils / Devil Splicer aesthetics and colors? I really wish these guys had Devils armor, cause theyre always super stylish.

Looks like a different house. Maybe has something to do wild Uldren and the House of Kings.

Couldn't take a picture of the dreg though, they died too fast.
-
I did notice as well that these fallen have a worn out gold and purple motif with their armor and pikes, and they have a symbol on their clothes and pikes that looks like an older version of the queen's guard symbol....wonder if there is some connection there....
-
Could you add a picture of each type?

I haven't popped back into D1 to check, but my impression was that the Fallen look more...beat up. They look like their gear is scavenged, their armor less pristine, and I like it. The changes to their behavior, such as the crawling, are nice as well. All in all, the Fallen were one of the more pleasant surprises of the Beta.

Edited by Shin Malphur: 7/24/2017 10:11:31 PMIt was a fun surprise to see the Fallen. They're definitely more aggressive than before, like they're desperate at this point.
-
I took a clip of a vandal... I guess he was crawling, but with all the nessus plant life in the way it looked like he was excessively combat rolling away from me
-
They should make a Vandal with 4 smgs.

-blam!- the shanks
-
So if Ghaul is just a cabal warlord who command the red legion, do you guys think we will meet the cabal that rule them all?
-
-blam!- shanks are back, fml.....
-
Now the real question is, will Randall the Vandal return?
-
Those marauders are my favorite enemy so far! They are WAY more invisible than in D1! But you CAN see them... by the blue glow of their eyes. It's a lot like the predator from the Predator movies. Great breakdown of the Fallen, I was very happy to see them in the beta. They're definitely more formidable and aggressive than the slow moving Cabal.
-
I think there's more bosses, in D1 vanilla, we had 5 strikes, now we have over 15.
-
Gotta get that shank burn.
-
All are prime for a good slap! Eyes on swivel Guardians!
-
Great job, but now I have a question? Rennet the queens brother? According to the grimlore, he alive and is trying to become the Kell of the kings and other fallen factions. My question is, is there any way we ( the community ) can tell that they are apart of the queens brother faction?
-
Don't forget the Captain's improved shield recharge time. Or anyone with a shield for that matter. I like that they seem a lot more confident and assertive until their shields go down, then retreat. Unlike the frankly p*ssy behaviour of captains teleporting as soon as a shot lands in D1 and hiding behind dregs and vandals at every opportunity. Love the fallen in this so far. And the Cabal tbh. Vex seem slightly less different. Sound effects much more varied and higher quality also.

When driving a pike I did notice that they didn't drop those little shock grenades when you hit the bumpers to strafe.
