"Common, we gotta keep moving. Pretty sure we're close now!"

Falk and Zane sprinted through the hall as the mist began to fill the room behind them. They found themselves spinrtimg up a curled staircase that went up to a larger platform. There, they saw a white orb. It looked like it was on fire but as they were in its presence they felt the chill of its temperature upon their skin. "That...that's it I guess." Falk said as he walked towards it. There seemed to be a collapsed box around the Orb which Zane spotted.
-
"That box, what do you think knocked it over?" He asked as he walked over to the object.
-
"I think.....Alex did." Falk told Zane as the twilight king reached for one side of the box and lifted it up. It was made of some form of seal, and Falk held it up against the Orb.
-
"Looks like it was made to contain something. Think that might just be that orb?"
-
The mist began to pour slowly into the room, and with that, Falk looked to Zane. "Well, let's close this thing up and see! Sooner rather then later!"
-
He went to close the sides of the massive box, the cold starting to affect him.
-
However as he and Falk closed the sides of the box, they found that the cold had subsided with each raise of a panel. The sides latched together suddenly, and then Falk reached for the lid and put it over the Orb. It latched as well, and suddenly the cold was gone. As the two looked to the doorway, they saw that the mist began to retract and subside until it dissipated completely. Falk raised his hand to his ear. "Hey! Distraction team! What's the-" Falk winced as Zane heard a series of voices bellow through Falk's ear drum. Falk turned off his earpiece when this happened. "Yep. It worked that's for sure. The blizzard is down!"
-
"Fantastic, what's our next step?"
-
"Your demise, you pathetic worms." A voice echoed through the caverns. It was all too familiar, and it's low gruff tone made Falk's blue skin turn red with anger. It was Tywin Coldbourne.
end of chapter
