They hit and crash landed, skidding across the ground before coming to a complete stop.
The doora on either side opened.
"Go! Go! Go!"
Cannon was the first out, rifle at the ready.

Ulfric jumped out beside Cannon and Halt did the same. Coldbourne soldiers immediately surrounded the crash zone, which seemed to be the gunship crashed into the second floor of a home in a crowded district.
-
Cannon pushed Ulfric behind him so his armor would shield them both as he raised his rifle to fire. The other Mandos opened up with a mix of blasters and wrist rockets.
-
The Coldbourne soldiers took aim and fired back at the mandos, their bullets banging against the armour of the militants. Ulfric and Halt, however, weren't ones for sitting around. Both of them sprinted past Cannon and jumped to the wall of a nearby building. Ulfric jumped off of the wall, and drew two arrows in the air with his bow and let loose. The two arrows pierced two skulls and he fell behind the cover of an alleyway beside the crash site. Meanwhile, Halt scaled the building as Ulfric caused the diversion, and found higher ground.
-
Cannon moved up, firing his blaster rifle at the nearest Coulborn. He didn't bother for cover as his armor and augmented skeleton could easily take small arms fire.
-
The Coldbourne's soon realized that their weapons weren't doing much. All of them began to sprint away as Halt unleashes arrows at them behind them, taking a few down. Soon, they completely retreated from the small compact area. "Well. That went well!" Ulfric commented.
-
"Agreed. We got a lucky break." The Mando looked up, trying to see the other dropships' progress.
-
They saw that the dragons had begun to take many of them down with powerful ice blasts or even ramming into them. These beasts were destructive, that much was certain. However suddenly, Cannon thought he heard marching in the distance. Very powerful marching....
-
The gunships had nearly 360° covering with their varies guns, and kept a heavy fire on the dragons while the fighter craft attempted to take them down. A number of Mandalorians were abandoning their transports mid glight via jetpacks. Cannon attempted to find the source of the marching. "What is that?"
-
Then, soldiers marched around the corner. All of the corners. Each one was armed in power armour, and eight of the twenty had massive machine guns on their right shoulders. Three had missile and rocket launchers, while the rest had massive revolver pistols that chambered four bullets each.
-
Cannon's eyes widened beneath the helmet. "GET TO COVER!" He shouted as the Mandos dove for cover, hiding wherever they could. Cannon himself dove behind a damaged wall from the building they had crashed into.
-
Bullets turned the wall to powder as they shot through the wood and stone home. Ulfric leapt over the cover Cannon hid behind as the other mando soldiers started to be pegged by the massive machine gunners.
-
Cannon sent a wrist rocket at one of the mechs, his men hunkering down to allow their armor to take the hits once they were slowed by the meager cover.
-
The rocket blasted against one of the soldiers, knocking them back. But their heavy armour still kept them alive. "We need to figure out an escape!" Ulfric told Cannon. "At this rate, we're screwed!"
-
"We have a few more tricks up our sleeve." Cannon replied, stepping out from cover. He knelt, and sent the jetpack mounted massive anti-tank cluster missile into the mechs.
-
The uh...ya...the missile thing...bombed a small section of the power armoured men. This broke their ranks and sent some of them flying around. But there were still enough to pin the group down.
-
This was the reason Cannon wasn't the only one with a heavy rocket. His was followed by easily a dozen more as the Mandos unleashed hell. Meanwhile, Cannon popped a smoke grenade and tossed it out. "Fall back!"
-
The Coldbourne military was disoriented as the missiles came down and the smoke was ejected. That being said, missile fire still rang out, and as Cannon called the retreat Halt landed beside him and looked back. "Jesus Christ this is a mess." Halt said as he ran through the destroyed home and out into the street behind it.
-
"That about sums this up." Cannon agreed, leading them away from the disoriented Coulborns. "Once we deal with thos dragons, we can call in air support."
-
"How do you propose we deal with the dragons?" Ulfric asked. "They look...well they look like they were summoned, not made. If that makes sense." "It doesn't." "Well look at them! They're translucent! A powerful spell caster would have had to conjure those up!"
-
Cannon thought on his words for a moment, then gained an idea. Magic was, essentially, the manipulation of energy fields... So if he could scan a dragon then, theoretically, he could trace it's energy source back to whomever was conjuring it. He attempted to test his idea, scanning the nearest dragon.
-
As he did, he soon realized his hypotheses was correct and his theory proven. He was able to trace the powerful magic back to....the Coldbourne castle.... But. He saw that it was not in the throne room. Rather it came from the back right tower of the massive palace.
-
"Energy signature matching the dragons in the far tower. Let's move!" He ordered.
-
"How do you propose we get up there?" Halt asked Cannon. "The dragons, remember?" "...we use tethers and rope." Ulfric seemed to spit ball.
-
"We have something a bit more advanced than that." Commented a trooper as they approached the tower. "Grapple guns."
-
"Grapple-!" Suddenly more fire power lit up the street the group walked down. The Coldbourne soldiers were in pursuit now. "Can. We gotta get to the cliffside now!" Halt told him.
