Derrick spoke up.
"Why was this place abandoned again?"
"There were a couple occasions where weapons couldn't be contained and we were drawing attention to ourselves. We had to close down to remain secret, although we kept some stuff..."
They continued walking through the rather and tunnel with the occasional "KRAC" painted on a wall with a symbol of an atom below it.
Soon, they reached the testing chamber. There was an opening with a massive circular room in the middle. The room in the middle could be seen through scratched up glass and inside, there were burn marks and dents in the walls.
"I personally spent quite a bit of time in this area."
Said Nivis.

At the burn marks, Sun-Rei started...was that sweating? She looked at the thing in awe, pointing to her flamethrower, then to the subject. She wanted to know what that was.
-
"The damage in there? Well a few things caused some of these scratches and burns, although the last weapon we tested before leaving was a majority of the damage." He pointed to a cylinder in the center of the room. It was about three feet tall and completely burnt. "That was a prototype explosive powered with electricity. It nearly blew up the entire test chamber and we had to leave."
-
She widened her eyes at the prospect of it, nodding in understanding. She looked at her own flamethrower, then back at the where the prototype used to be. She motioned if this was the reason they were here.
-
"Oh no... that was the last model of its kind, and as you can see, it's not in great condition. You'll see what we're here for soon enough..." He motioned for her to follow him past the chamber and continue down the hall. At the end of the hall was the end of Sector A. She noticed that the halls had numbers; they had already passed by A1, A2, A3, and so on...
-
She wondered just how deep this facility was. She looked around the hallway, reminding her of her own past...kind of. She didn't exactly want to go back to those times... Nonetheless, she continued following Nivis deeper within the facility.
-
They reached a T shape split. On the right was sector B and on the left was C. They turned left and continued down the tunnel. The separate halls all led to laboratories. As they walked, he spoke again. "These labs were for studying and building diagrams for missiles. A lot of work went into this place..." He was then cut off by someone from the village radioing in. "Nivis. We saw two viperfish scouts on the left side of the mountain, they were entering the mines." "Copy that, which tunnel?" "F4. Looks like they're headed to storage there." "Got it, we're in our way." Nivis turned to sun. "Looks like you get to see what we're after a little bit early, come on."
-
She nods with a wicked grin, running after Nivis, with her flamethrower, and her incendiary grenades.
-
They darted down the hall until they reached a small steel door at a dead end. The door had the label: "To sectors: E, F, G". Nivis opened the door and inside was an old mining tunnel system. She could barely see him, but he led her through the dark. The branch offs into each unit of each sector were labeled on equipment in the mine, such as carts and tools. They were almost through sector E.
-
She wondered where in all hell's name Nivis was taking them...although she was excited to see more corpses burn right in front of her, judging by the grin she had on her face.
-
Finally they passed through into Sector F where the walls became concrete again, and they were back into the same style tunnels. Once they reached F4, Nivis took her down a hall which had a vault door. He turned the massive wheel and opened it for them. Inside was something rather amazing. It was a large open room with a very high ceiling, dimly lit by only 12 or so fluorescent lights across the room. They were at the top of a small staircase which led down into the storage area: an open space lined with rows upon rows of tall standing bombs, missiles, boxes, and vehicles. The way they were put into rows made the whole place seem like a maze. "This is what they were looking for..."
-
She raised an eyebrow, again, her smiling growing ever larger at the massive arsenal of things. She raised her flamethrower and asked Nivis where the enemies would be coming from.
-
"Careful with that fire..." As he said that, they heard a door open on the other side of the room. The two scouts slipped through, too far away to be stopped. They knew they were being watched and immediately entered the maze of artillery and explosives, hiding as well as finding what they needed.
-
Sun-Rei looked around the place for the scouts, putting her flamethrower away and looked around, making sure to be as quiet as possible. She was sure that the scouts wouldn't notice her.
-
She could hear movement in the distance from the scouts. Nivis also entered from a different direction, hoping to get both of them by splitting up. The tension grew as they moved around.
https://youtu.be/37v3xUdBnf4 Music for the encounter...
