Oh hey. You finally responded.
The screens began to glitch, and Cain immediately started screaming. The station's power levels began to flicker, then turned off in favor of auxiliary power. Alarms began to blaze. The facility had been completely locked down
Is this okay? It'll be normal in a few seconds.

it was gonna happen anyways without your consent, so it won't be for a few seconds, this'll just stay this way.
They managed to stop the engineers from leaving the area, but Cain lost control and the console completely shut down. It seemed that this was already something that would happen given that he hacked into the console. After a few seconds though, the alarms stopped and it was quiet as well as dark. Only a few red lights lit up the halls now.
Cool. That works.
Cain fell to the ground
Sorry it's a short response.

All good.
Osprey moved down to him. "You alright? What happened?"
-
He began to speak, but the voice wasn't his. It was rough, tortured, and synthetic "You've doomed us. You've doomed us all." He rose, his eyes full of vengeance and hate. His movement was clunky, and certain lights that used to glow blue now glowed orange. He stabbed blindly, trying to attack "Let me out of this cage!" He clutched his head in pain, and started screaming. It was like he was fighting himself. He fell, and the orange lighting switched off. They soon booted back up again, and his eyes opened "...What... happened?"

Osprey stood with his staff at the ready as cain freaked out. Then he explained. "Something about 'you've doomed us all' and letting someone out of a cage... also you set off a lockdown, but the system also set off one itself..."

Edited by Wheatley: 8/14/2017 7:54:16 PM"Dammit. I knew that would happen the moment I entered the system. This thing, the AI that took over my core functions, is apparently embedded throughout the entire mainframe. Whatever it is, I managed to purge it from my system before it ingrained itself in my brain." He turned to Osprey "But whatever this thing is, we can't let reach the planet. I'll destroy this ship myself if it comes to it."
Since this is my plot, we're not gonna have that happen so the story can go on as it's supposed to.
Osprey: "You must be mistaken... Peregrine excels with AI, but they would never create anything inherently evil, just things made to follow orders. That's probably what triggered this to happen..."
-
Of course. I was just referencing something that I'll do later, after your plot is over. Didn't mean to impose
"Yeah. I suppose your right. I'll have to run a full diagnostic when I get back just to be sure."
-
Oh alright. Sounds good.
"Well you can do that, but for now we need to focus on getting through this place now that it's on lockdown."
And this is where we'll end for now, next chapter will be the rest of the space station, but I need to work on that for a little bit.

Cool.
