I know that D1 has come to an end but still I would appreciate if out there there is any experienced player who could help me understand what am I doing wrong when trying to counter handcannons.
I'm using Blind Perdition adept + wormwood/ice breaker and in average I'm always loosing encounters against handcannons unless I manage to put enough distance and kill fast (rare).
Please no obvious/ridiculous suggestions such as "radar awareness" or "aim better" or "that's the meta bro, grab a Palindrome yourself"...I already know that but I'm sure my gun is not that bad and I've seen lots of good players doing much better than me against the meta. When I tried asking them they don't know what to say.
Anyone willing to help?

Edited by kursid: 8/18/2017 5:58:11 PMI normally run pulse/sidearm in crucible now. I MISS MY FUSION RIFLE... Anyways.. For hand cannon engagements I normally try to bait them back towards me.. Make them fight on your ground, if you can get that first shot on them when they round the corner.. Your pulse will do the job, or if you draw them in close enough, use the sidearm or fusion on them. If they get the first shot on you, you're kinda screwed so try to get out of line of fire if possible, if not.. try to do as much damage before you die? Of course, grenades and supers help as well.. but if you're out of those.. Just play defensively, use cover and make them play your game, not the other way around. Oh, and.. dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.. if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a handcannon
