Experienced help to counter handcannons
I know that D1 has come to an end but still I would appreciate if out there there is any experienced player who could help me understand what am I doing wrong when trying to counter handcannons.
I'm using Blind Perdition adept + wormwood/ice breaker and in average I'm always loosing encounters against handcannons unless I manage to put enough distance and kill fast (rare).
Please no obvious/ridiculous suggestions such as "radar awareness" or "aim better" or "that's the meta bro, grab a Palindrome yourself"...I already know that but I'm sure my gun is not that bad and I've seen lots of good players doing much better than me against the meta. When I tried asking them they don't know what to say.
Anyone willing to help?

2 RepliesTry taking a friend equipped with a hand canon into a private match. Don't kill each other but instead shoot each other and look at the damage numbers and from there move closer and further away to work out the effective range of both weapons. This means when you go into normal crucible you know what range engagements you want to get into, this will help with map placement. Also do you strafe? It's one of the most important and easy things to do when in a straight gun fight but a lot of people forget to do it all the time. Lastly I would swap HCR with hand loaded or what ever the other perk is. HCR's got a bit of a nerf on pulse's and the extra range is always good against HC's.
