Psycho Cop Arrests Nurse for Doing Her Job

She calmly explains why it's a crime for her to comply with his ILLEGAL command, and he just arrests her for no reason. One second, she was standing there, the next, she was being dragged outside and handcuffed. I can already smell the gofundme donations for this "poor, defenseless officer" who had no choice but to arrest this savage nurse who was clearly threatening his safety. *sarcasm* American police aren't even the problem. It's the people who are watching these terrorists committing crimes in broad daylight and still insist on blindly supporting them no matter what.

  • Reminder that if taken those blood samples wouldn't be allowed in court and could easily get a guilty man off.

    • I'm really surprised that this happened. My roommate works in an ER, and she often describes the working relationship between the staff at the hospital, the fire dept., and the police dept. They all really rely on cooperation and working well with each other. I'm not saying that a cop should give a nurse or a doctor a break if they actually are blatantly acting in a criminal manner, but in this situation, this cop really damaged the overall relationship between his department and the hospital staff. You'd think he would at least have waited for the administrator to arrive and talk to them about it. It was obvious that the nurse was trying her best to just comply with the law, and with her boss on the phone, it was obvious that the nurse was not really calling the shots here. There is also the added fact that if he did acquire the information illegally, the case could have been completely thrown out of court, and the nurse could have then been brought up on charges for illegally releasing that information. This cop grossly over-reacted, damaged a working relationship with that hospital's staff, and I would bet that everyone in his department is giving him shit for it. And not giving him shit in some joking, teasing way, but actually shunning him and letting him know he seriously f***ked up. I guarantee that the nurse is already released, and that cop is seeing repercussions, both official, and unofficial. His official punishment might appear to be a slap on the wrist, but his co-workers in the police force, and especially his superiors are seriously pissed at him right now.

      • The cops supervisor told the cop to arrest the nurse if she didn't give him the blood sample. Both the cop and supervisor are on paid leave. I personally think both the cop and his supervisor are in the wrong and that supervisor should be fired.

              • I only have a cursory knowledge of this topic, but here's my thoughts. Since the officer had a warrant (I believe) to get blood from the patient, it was completely legal for him to make the request of the nurse to take the person's blood. With her refusal, she technically was obstructing justice. However, the officer could have gone about this differently. Rather than charging her with obstruction of justice - this was a horrible call on the cops part - he could have simply found another nurse to take the patients blood. IN MY OPINION I think that, while the cop acted within the boundaries of the law, he did something that was very unethical. The nurse could have gone about it differently as well. Telling her superiors, getting another nurse, explaining her stance and offering to remedy the situation, like getting another nurse, are all better than what she did. Like I said, I don't know much about this story, but with what I do know, that's my stance.

                • I hope no one tries to justify the action of that pig. She clearly told him why she can't in a way that hopefully all of us understood. Yet she's some reason being arrested unlawfully. Shit like this also makes all cops look bad. They're not but idiots like this isn't acceptable by any means.

If they were attempting to get blood because of a DUI than the cop was right. Not right in the way he acted but right in general. They have to get blood quickly because obviously over time it lowers. From my understanding the driver hit someone head on or something like that

                            • I do like police just not people with a badge that are idiots. Does not matter how much time you have on a job if you do not understand the law you enforce then you should arrest yourself. The quick and easy way is not the best way. The officers should have gotten a warrant or found another way to handle the problem. The nurse was being told by her superiors not to allow it. So why are they arresting the Nurse? Obstruction of Justice under the law does not allow a police officer to have a do what i want licence. That detective should have set a proper example for his officers. Instead he damaged his reputation. The Department and the relationship with the Nurses. I say with the highest respect that i understand the pressure and the job a police officer deals with. People forget that history repeats and need a stern lecture about the German SS to snap them back into reality how America is starting to become that kind of police state. Treat others like you want to be treated. I say and i stuck with that for a very long time. Think before you act as the fast and easy way is not the best way. Just because you cannot get your way does not mean you abuse your power. It has happened in history many many times and these days people should treat people like they want to be treated.
