So my parts for my PC should all be here by Tuesday and I'd like to know where i can download the free version.
If you could post a link that'd be very appreciated as well.
Thank you in advance!

I get my OS updates and new versions for free. I use mac though. I used to run a off site contract IT company with a friend for about 19 years. We had so many msdn subscription packs it was ridiculous. Never bought a Windows OS and have volume licensing

Didn't they only let you download it for free for a limited time?

Post pictures of your build when you're finished. Mind sharing your parts list? I'm building a new PC as well. Should have all my parts by next week.

Not free anymore, bud They gave the free upgrade to Windows users for a limited time. You'll have to buy a key to download it as of now.

Edited by Pahvi: 9/6/2017 12:18:16 PMDon't think it's possible anymore. The media creation tool checks your installed version of windows 10 and let's you to download an iso with the same key.(which is activated when istalled and connected to internetsss) Sure, there are naughty options, or install steamOs, it's not gonna be as good obviously (linux based). But why not give it a shot, just ffs :) Edit. Just looked into steamOs features, don't waste your time, you'd be better off with linux (any of them)
bc it only supports linux based games (prolly why steam machines failed) +without any features like file management etc.
Pretty sure you can download it for free because n MS's website and put it on a flash drive.

They made it harder to get, but you can still legally download it for free. I just got my first PC setup, and my cousin downloaded it for me

Or dont be a cheap ass and buy windows 10

it installs once you delete system 32

On the official microsoft website there's a free Windows 10, however there's a watermark. Just search media creation tool, I would link it but I can't because It doesnt let me reach page on my phone. You need a flash drive to make a boot drive so you can install it. Also there's a way to rid of the water mark without costing you $100.

I don't know if you can get it free, I've been looking for myself just in case. If you can though, you'll need something to download it with, doubt you could do it without an OS.

I think the free windows 10 thingy is gone. I believe you'll need to buy it or something? idk. All I think I know is that it is no longer free.
