And intervene somebody did... although it wouldn't be a beneficial intervention, for Gideon at least.
Only visible to Elizabeth was a feminine figure clad in a deep, indigo suit of armor, with a smooth, violet visor that obscured her face. It was a thin suit, obviously not meant more for mobility than tanking, its material leather in appearance but... one would get a strange feeling from the armor. It clearly wasn't made of leather.
Held in her right hand was a large, black and white hand cannon, with a short bayonet at its front. The revolver had two barrels, aligned with the gun's chamber just right so that two bullets would be able to fired at once. This revolver was aimed straight at Gideon's back.
Behind the visor, Iris was hesitating. There was a certain... lack of communication here; she didn't know whether or not her sister aimed to kill this mage or not, and as such she was unsure of where to aim. But she shook her head; she had to be decisive.
And so, she pulled the trigger, and a single 8x57mm bullet would fly out of the barrel. Iris' arm would fly back; the gun had quite a large kick to it. The bullet was aimed at the shoulder in which Gideon held his staff; should it make contact, the bullet would explode and likely cause some bad shit to happen.
