Hi everyone, I ask for a moment of your time to help a decent percentage of players suffering from this disorder caused by the effect that in video games is called motion blur, in the pc version you can disable it, while in consoles no, we ask support for bungie release a little upgrade that makes it even in disabling console versions, thank you for your help.

  • I am here because I started playing D2 last night (free offer!) and had to stop from severe nausea/motion sickness. Fine with BL franchise; only other game that did this to me was HL2 with the boat sequences. Very unpleasant but will follow some of the suggestions above to see if I can keep playing.

I got this game yesterday. Played for about hour last night. Today I feel sick on my stomach. Also I feel some strange little pain in my eyes. At first I thought I might be sick or something. But today I launched Destiny 2 again, and after 30 min of playing I almost throw up :/ This is first time I've got motion sickness from the game. Is there any fix for it? Or I should just avoid this game? I have this game on PC. Pardon my English. Note. My gaming room has a good source of lights. Also my monitor is at good distance.

  • I really hope this is fixed in year 2. I played over 1,000 hours in d1 and now I can barely play for an hour at a time in d2. I can’t do my triumphs (first time I won’t finish) because I can barely get through a single mission most days. I’m not sure what changed but please change it back.

  • I'm used to playing Overwatch and other FPS on PC; I just got Destiny 2 the other day and was super excited based on the trial. When I logged out and went to go to bed I almost fell over, then spent the entire next day sick to my stomach and suffering from an incredible amount of vertigo which is bad considering I have an infant to care for; I thought it was just a sicky bug until I started playing again tonight and while running through a tunnel on an adventure BAM! vertigo hit me. That took me to google which brought me here. . . we aren't alone!!!! whew. Hubby suffering same thing, sucks considering we just spent $200 for both of us to play.... if anyone of import is reading this I beg for a fix better than messing with client side settings to accommodate.

  • There's also a nasty screen shake on the Titan on PC. Use your titan boost, and look at the ground. The screen just vibrates. It's so annoying

  • I never had any issues with motion sickness while playing Destiny, but tonight I tried Destiny 2 for the first time (on my PS4 as well), and after no more than an hour I had to stop, take a Gravol, and yet I still am very close to puking. :-( What changed from Destiny 1 to Destiny 2? I -loved- this game, but as it stands there is no way that I can play it.

  • Having this issue on the PC. Setting graphics to medium helped somewhat, but I can still only play for about 40 minutes max. Hope they fix it!

  • I absolutely love this game but after playing for a while I am sick to my stomach. I have never had a game do this before. Please fix! I’m not going to be able to play much if this continues.

  • I have tried many different things to quell the waves of nausea I get when I play destiny 2. I just kept messing with settings until I found something that worked for me. FOV 100 helped, I also don't use pistols or sidearms that are right in the middle of my screen, they are impossible to ignore and I found using other weapons lessened how sick I felt slightly. I didn't make real progress until I changed my settings. I put graphics to medium... annoying, I know, but it worked. These tricks may not work for everybody but hopefully for some. I used to only be able to play for 30 minutes before started feeling like I was gonna puke... then I'd try to power through it with anti-nausea supplements, which may work for some people too. Ginger can be helpful. However, after I changed my FOV, turned off VSYNC, and put graphics to medium. I just logged off after playing for 3-4 hours, other than a very minor headache (that could be from something else) I have no nausea to speak of. I really hope this helps some of you enjoy the game. GOOD LUCK! I recommend taking the time to mess with your own settings and find out what helps you. Side note: I have also heard some people have had success with turning motion blur off, I didn't but others may. I also turned on ambient occlusion and that helped me focus on what's going on in front of me and tune out what's not important.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iu2ifYy9sqk If anyone is still having issues, then check out this video to smooth your mouse in Windows which smooths it out in Destiny. It really helped me with the choppy mouse which caused the motion sickness. EDIT: nuts... your post is for the console. Sorry. Reading down the comments, I thought it was for the PC.

  • I was fine playing the PC beta, but now less than 1 hour into the full pc release and suffering from terrible motion sickness and have had to stop playing. Max fov and motion blur disabled.

    • I am so glad to see this post, as others I thought it was just me. I never played D1 so I am new to the game, but getting sick after a hour or two of play is really hurting. Please Bungie fix soon, I am loving the game, but getting sick is preventing me from having full enjoyment.

    • I totally agree, there should be a fix for motion sickness. The amount the screen shakes is unreal and a bunch of nonsense. I just got the PC game today and have not been able to play longer than 30min. If they do not fix than I want my money back. This is just stupid.

    • Suffering from motion sickness after 30 minutes of playing as well, this definitely needs to be addressed.

    • Here I thought I was just getting too old. Never been sick from a game. Not really sure what the deal is on D2. But I'll get headache and sick to my stomach if I play for roughly an hour. Feel like dookie the rest of the day. Zero trouble in the countless hours I played D1. Definitely needs a fix. Haven't been a real fan anyways, so it makes it easy to just not play.

    • I also get headache when playing destiny 2 after about 45 to 60 minutes. I think the points are: Small field of view: only around 70° Low Framerate "Camera Shaking" I tried to change the distance to my TV screen, also changed the room lighting, w/o success. I didn't experience this sickness on PC Beta, so it really has to be related to the settings of PS4 Version. Bungie do something, since there seem to be a lot of people experiencing sickness. :(

    • Why would anyone not be in favor of this fix? There is an issue - after playing almost all the Titan missions, I had to stop because I thought I'd pass out. The worst is the little tunnel, cave areas. Horrible to play. Bungie needs to fix this issue. I

    • Had the same issue. If you buy a supplement called Ginger Root in the vitamin section of your pharmacy. Completely gets rid of motion sickness.

    • Having the same problem. I can mainly play for 30 minutes to an hour before the whole room starts spinning and I need to go lie down.

    • Motion sickness doesn't affect me in Destiny, but occasionally it'll mess with my eyes a little when I'm doing a lot of quick turns. Anyway I'm in favour.

    • I thought it was just me! I've put the look sensitivity down to 1 and it's still too fast, everything whizzes at 100mph. Never experienced this with a game before, I hope it's something they fix soon.

    • I have spent a week looking forward to playing this after buying my Collector's Edition. I finally returned from evacuating (thanks, Irma) only to find I had no power. Got my power back last night (finally), unboxed this beauty... And made it 30 minutes in before I had to stop. I had this issue with D1, but could go an hour or more without it becoming unbearable. Borderlands is completely unplayable due to my motion sickness. If I want to play Horizon, I have to take Dramamine an hour before. After countless hours on D1, I never thought twice about this being a possible issue. But, here I am, unable to full enjoy I've been patiently awaiting for so long. I'm hoping they add a way so change settings for those of us with motion sickness to enjoy this game. And though I'm sad to see others are suffering too, I'm also relieved to know that I'm not alone. Makes me feel less like I'm whining about it, or that no one gets it. And makes it more likely that there is a possibility to fix it in the future.

      • Funny you say this. Last 2 days playing destiny I was dizzy with a slight headache. Thought maybe I was getting a headcold. Today after only playing for 3 hours I was dizzy a sick stomach... never happened to me in destiny 1... Did something change ?
