I never run out of ammo.
Also there is a mysterious practice only used in the early days of the game. Before synths. It was called...
an ammo run
Also I'm pretty sure they buffed the power ammo drop rate, although I'm not sure
I never Raid
There I fixed it for you. You have fun when you get to the Pleasure Gardens and you need heavy ammo for DPS - so everybody has to wipe 3 times just to collect heavy at the beginning.
-
All you have to do to refill heavy at the pleasure garden is take out the orange bar dudes. That's it. I refill my heavy 3/4 to full prior to every run. That's the entire reason for that pre-fight. The problem is, if you do not do any damage to them (or enough damage) they might not drop heavy for you. No member of the fire teams that I've been a part of has had an issue with heavy at that encounter.
-
That's not enough for all 6 people - while that does work it's exactly what I'm talking about. 2 people kill orange guys, wipe, 2 people kill orange guys, wipe, 2 people kill orange guys - okay now we can finally try again. Synth would stop that stupidity then and there.

Edited by fraukus12: 9/17/2017 6:22:36 AMThere's at least 6 of those dudes dropping 1 - 2 bricks for me per kill. I've never had to wipe multiple times so that the team can fill their heavy. We split up in three teams of two. In my experience, everyone fills up the first time. But, if we do end up wiping, then all the heavy that wasn't collected is still there and continues to accumulate. Sucks that you've had to go through that, but it is still probably less than 5min to do that (rather than waiting for another synth to become available after a failed attempt). Edit: I'm typically the crystal guy and I can even see heavy that I missed in the "maze" from the rocks.
-
They always only drop 1 and I need atleast 5 to fill up my gun - as does anybody using Merciless. - Which for that stage is my entire fireteam... that means we need 30 bricks between all of us... you aren't getting that without intentional wipes.
-
There's also two orange bars that spawn per pollen buff. Are you buffing to 60x for both rounds (e.g., round one take their health down to 10-20%)? I, personally, don't need all merciless shots to take down the dogs. I use super, one mercifless clip and one energy auto rifle clip in first round and then whatever is available the second round. Of course, when everyone is above 290 it will only take one round. Swords are probably better for the dogs, but I'll wait for Datto to make a video on it (it can also cause the dogs to "jump slide" like the gorgons).
-
A few things - yes there are drops during when the Handlers come out - but it isn't always a good thing to waste time grabbing them - we tend to save them for the crystal bearers when they jump down. Supers are good - but sometimes you can activate them and the dog will run back to its starting position leading you on a chase and wasting it. Lastly being over 280 light means absolutely nothing - that's not how Light works. You are effectively scaled BACK to an enemies level at all times. It's bad to be under 280 - but being over provides no difference.
-
It was hyperbole. People tend to do better when they're higher than recommended light levels (e.g., at Rise of Iron levels, one phasing War Priest was common - even with first timers, but wasn't at Taken King levels, in my experience). I was only 274 and had no problems taking down the dogs. I also had time to grab ammo on my way back to the safe room. As far as supers, I agree. I wouldn't use hammers or shield, for instance, but Nova bomb is great, as is tickle fingers even if the dog runs away.

Edited by Mojmon 15: 9/17/2017 5:53:13 AMYou can save ammo... That's what I do
-
Clealry showing you haven't got to that part of the Raid - you can't "save" ammo when the entire part is based on outputting as much DPS as possible.
-
Look man I was just voicing my opinion and thoughts about synths being in D2. Sure I only attempted the raid once, but I still think it's not needed.
-
Edited by N7_Dredgen: 9/17/2017 6:01:23 AMThat's called an unfounded opinion then. You haven't been in one of the places in the game where you do need it - or to waste 5 min wiping so everybody can collect some.
-
Still my opinion, and you can have yours, now I'm getting tired of this.
-
It's not needed but it doesn't do any harm to you, I don't see your point of not wanting it
