Personally I was extremely let down when I saw that the faction armor is only reskins of the planetary armor... Come on Bungie. The hundreds of millions of dollars made off of this game... You could have done it. Just like you could have done made dedicated servers... and new abilities.... Theres alot that I love about this game but its like you took three steps forward only to take another two steps back.

Edited by HiddenWarrior: 9/29/2017 2:33:35 AMIs the New Monarchy faction armor for Titans appear elsewhere? Haven't seen any knights running around the tower.
-
I would like the extra diversity, especially for factions and strikes.
-
I was disappointed by the faction armour being nothing but a re-coloured variation of gear already available too. Looking at what has been made available I see nothing special to attract me to any faction.
-
Agree.. Very disappointed in the Faction gear. No creativity at all in making them just re-skins with a minor change here and there. Should be all new armor with a few different graphic variants available for each piece of gear.

In another forum a user questioned why bungie didn't simply use the blue(rare) gear to refurbish into faction armor. Which I will say that goes for white, and green as well. 2. Why not have ornaments that you earn by doing certain milestones while wearing the armor? These ornaments further change the look of the armor. Getting pretty tired of them using the same sets over and over with hardly any differences. Especially when they have plenty more than those same sets.
-
Because Bungie are lazy. Nothing new really. This is what happens when you take away random roles on gear. I bet a majority of the people who complained about this wouldn't be complaining if the gear had random roles. But nope, they had to take away the only good thing about Destiny, the grind.
-
Recycling armour is fine... but I'll admit Bungie was pretty lazy on the armour/weapon designs. Not that variety of these has ever been a strong point in a Bungie game.
-
New monarchy Titan helm is new
-
Why were you surprised? One of the first rare hand cannons I had in D2 was a Palindrome reskin.
-
If they really wanted to recycle armors why couldn't it have been the blues from court of oryx on the dreadnought in d1 or the taken set. Those were awesome and I wouldn't mind seeing those come back, particularly in legendary form. As it is there definitely isn't enough armor diversity, and recolors just don't cut it when that's what shaders are for. I was just lucky I managed to find pieces for each slot that I like the look of.

Edited by Mini: 9/26/2017 4:45:16 PMIf they had to stick with this, they should have made legendary reskins of some of the blue armour sets for the Factions instead.

Bungie has Failed its biggest fans https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/233144961/0/0

Come on man, they only had 3 years and millions of dollars to make this game, they can't think of everything. They were busy removing things, you want them to add things? I can't even bring myself to play as a Titan because all the armor looks like ass.
-
This game is so obviously rushed it's insane. I feel like an idiot for giving them money. This shit is for kids not adults, should have known.
-
Same here. I was expecting some cool things like they did with the first game... oh wait. Those were reskins until House of Wolves...
-
Factions aren't Foundaries.
-
Laziness, its been like this since year 1 brotha.
-
Because bungo is L A Z Y
-
1 word: Laziness
-
Just put your shader on and pretend you're in some way different than every other guardian out there and like it!
-
It's just the same thing as D1, the factions are just painting all the reject armor from tower.
-
I really thought the reskinning attitude would stop with this game :( why are they such a lazy team? I mean I could take one peak at their annual report at the end of this year and probably be able to tell you that dedicated servers and teams working on new in-game items would be a financial doddle. Its a pretty sad state of affairs because man this game has POTENTIAL.
-
Laziness, Its the only applicable answer I came to after playing the game and reading the complains on these forums. It shouldn't surprise people that bungie isn't being innovative with their design decisions after experiencing D1. If you look at anything in D2 you can see some effort was put into it, but it was half-assed or seems unfinished. Look at how many D1 exotics there are, were they too lazy to come up with new ones? Out of the three sub-classes only 1 for each class is new while the other two have been re-hashed and that one new one still feels all too familiar. The armor does look better in general compared to D1, but once again there is a very small variance in legendary gear within a class. Hell even the campaign, while coherent this time around it still doesn't explain squat and we are left with more questions then answers with zero answers for the questions in D1. So much time and effort was put into the campaign cut-scenes to make them look pretty and the game was localized in what? 11 or 12 different languages, but they couldn't go that single extra step to give our guardians a voice? Factions should have been in the game form the start. They had areas in the tower since the beginning, but were withheld to be introduced later as new content. Its also not a "real" even't. All you have to do is align yourself with one of them and then go do what you've been doing for the past two weeks just to get re-skinned armor.

The Titan armour especially the helm is different to other armours it’s the only exclusive armour I’ve seen
-
.... back to D1
-
Everything is just a reskin of a reskin. I remember them showing off some really cool armor during the first D2 reveal. Guess it locked behind future dlc.
