My 9 reasons.
1. Warlock and titans get brand new supers but Hunters get a stick instead of a knife.
2. Direct impact with the bow doesn't kill people anymore.
3. The arrow does not track people anymore either, it can be an inch off and it still wont sway towards them.
4. The smoke doesn't slow people down anymore like it did in D1. So wombo combo's are useless
5. The roll is terrible. You "rolll" in the same spot. It doesn't evade shit. You can be killed during a roll yet a titan cant be killed while putting their shield down..
6. Warlocks have health regen/ damage buff and titans have a wall that protects them completely....but in the same category we get a ROLL.
7. Golden gun last only like 10 seconds but the other characters supers last way longer.
8. Titan shield can take a golden gun shot...the thing thats in the same category as a hunter roll...which you can die while doing.
9. Warlocks get blink and titans get skating but hunters dont get any speed advantages even though bungie says the hunter is supposed to be the fast and agile character
-
Hunters get to go invisible with a double tap and a grenade. Hunters are meant to be evasive you scrub. Hunters are not the easy mode!
-
Titan shield gets taken down by nades, rockets etc easily You can easily die why putting your shield up! I have no idea where you get the idea you can't from! I've died a ton of times doing it The warlock healing rift is not that good and you can easily kill people in it
-
Side note: I think Hunters actually got better in PvE. I don't feel as fragile anymore, I swear to god I was in perma 3 shot mode in D1, like my armor was made out if paper mache and glitter glue. And supers got better, golden gun can crit and create 6 orbs now EVEN WITHOUT A KILL (critical for boss dps). And pole dancer is undeniably better than space saber. Shadow shot has a secret intrinsic perk that I'm reluctant to share because either it and/or the boots are SO getting nerfed lol. What's worse? Mobility. In D1 hunters were faster and could jump significantly higher. D1 triple jump craps all over triple jump on D2. Add Bones of Eao and dear god it's insane lol. Base mobility is down, base resilience is up in D2.

Edited by joey big guns: 9/28/2017 9:22:54 PMDid Hunters received large quantities of feminine products between Destiny 1 &2? Sounds like ya need to use one. Hunter main for three years. GG still kills everything in PvP. why a Hunter would shoot a wall and waste their super is beyond me. Last time I used my little stick, I killed everyone in the room and had super forever afterwards. It's not smart to use a melee super against enemies at range, though. Nightstalker kills everything I aim at. Maybe folks shouldn't be dependent upon it auto aiming for them. Don't depend on wombo combo.

your roll moves you quite a ways, unless your using marksman dodge, also titans CAN be killed during their shield animation 6. Warlocks have health regen/ damage buff and titans have a wall that protects them completely....but in the same category we get a ROLL. Empowering rift barely changes pvp damage...healing rift locks them into a spot. Titans wall protects them completely? Their head pokes over the rally barricade and aoe grenades go through both barriers, also they only protect one side of them...not really complete protection. 7. its a shield...wouldn’t be a shield if it doesn’t stop damage 9. Blink is massively nerfed. Hunters armor is the only way to get high mobility, neither titans nor warlocks can get close to the max mobility hunters can according to your profile, you have 0 playtime on your warlock and you don’t even have a titan. Try playing every class before posting something like this.

-blam!- hunters!
-
Let the lil girls have they perks, that's the only way they would be able to -blam!- with Hunters on their best day
9. Warlocks get blink and titans get skating but hunters dont get any speed advantages even though bungie says the hunter is supposed to be the fast and agile character
I might be blind or dumb or both, but titans still have skating? If so, i can't find it. And if so, please, someone enlighten me because id love to skate again.
-
Titan's get a wall? LOL... There's walls everywhere on the map that you can use too.
-
I very much dislike that direct shadowshot hits don't kill anymore. I missed a few team wipes because of this. Also smoke is not nearly as effective anymore and hit boxes for the roll dodge are laughable.
-
Hey Bungie, you bunch of -blam!-TARDS! Fix your god damned RNG bullshit, just got my 7th mutha -blam!-in’ Tractor Cannon in a row from your shitty Exotic loot table. 2 or 3 ok, no big deal. Mutha -blam!-ing 7th one in a row. How smart do you gotta be to work there at Bungivision, I mean seriously! Hey, Luke Smith...you and your team should be fired and flogged for such ignorant programming.

Op is tomato

Hmm. I get what you're saying, but what do you think of their roll? 😉
-
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Oh man, people still actually think this?
-
Hunter is way faster than any of the other classes. Get the boots (Stomp Eez or whatever they're called), the one-handed sword, Mida Multi and Mini, ArcStrider with the melee regen on dodge, go into PvP, play fast and aggressive and clean up (I play solo all the time so far in D2). You fly around like a deadly sprite! The only thing missing is a recovery stat, so if you get tagged you will come out worst but the speed is so addictive.
-
The dodging ability for arcstrider needs to be fixed in some form. Either I'm killing while teams or pole dancing to my death
-
The only Hunter thing I don't feel right now is the throwing knife. Throwing knives need a buff badly. Either reduce the cooldown or make them as strong as in D1. Nothing has made me madder in this game than landing a long ball critical stick and being rewarded with pathetic damage using explosive knife.
-
I 150% agree with you. hunters got shit on in D2. I hate it. Anyone who disagrees is either a warlock main, a Titan main or a Bungie fanboy. What a huge let down this game is. My hunter is my least favorite character to play in pvp. So sad.
-
Yet most people play on hunters. Lol. The top skill tree of the nightstalker is amazing in pvp especially the invisible on dodge (even for the reload your weapon dodge). The biggest thing about that class is the ability to go invisible and catch people of guard. You need to tether in advance either to shut down a super or to lock down an area. Golden gun is amazing still. Fyi you can choose the top skilltree of gunslinger and just don't unlock the 6 shooter perk. Now you have deadeye golden gun with normal 3 shot time for pvp. I reset my Hunter to do just that. It works so much better. The boots frostee5 are amazing and give you so much more movement abilities. The arcstrider is really good add clearer in pve and the super is still good in pvp. The arc bolt grenade is really good and the bottom skill try plus lucky raspberry can give you so many grenades. I feel like the classes are more balanced than ever. I personally play all three classes. Half the time I forget to use my class abilities no matter what character I am playing on. My favorite chars being striker because I like the movement and the ability to stand my ground. Then I like stormcaller. Then goldengun or nightstalker. In D1 I mained voidwalker.
-
You're putting this into a PvP aspect buddy. How OVERPOWERED is nightstalker in PvE with the Orpheus Rig giving back the shadow shot instantly
-
Edited by Etho: 9/28/2017 3:26:58 PMFirst thing. The titan shield doesn't save them completely Second thing. I have a 10 mobility hunter. I easily pass all my allies when playing strikes, plus mida your a speed demon. Third thing. I agree the six shot golden gun goes to fast but the three shot is fine, get a headshot kill and it gets extended
-
0.8 kd? Ur just bad git gud
-
Hunters are underpowerd? lol ok. Two words, celestial nighthawk. I easily out dps titans during the callus fight even with their op pulse grenades, it makes golden gun hit for all most 300k.
-
Sounds like you just really want NightStalker to be PvP viable when it's really meant for PvE. Hunter is not underpowered, roll/reload is really useful and the only thing I'd ask is for throwing knife to do more damage.
-
I actually agree. While people in the comments are saying nightstalker is a pve class and the others are for PvP, they are thinking in terms of destiny 1 too much. Destiny 1 nightstalker was THE hunter subclass for pve. Bungie has watered down the pve aspect for nightstalker. When a subclass needs an exotic piece of armor to be viable then it isn't very good. Orpheus rig does allow nightstalker to recharge a super very fast, but there must be a bunch of enemies and I'd rather have a stormcaller palpatine through 10 ads then tether 10 ads that doesn't just outright kill em. Orpheus rig only works for the trapper nightstalker. Gunslinger is much better for pve BUT I hate the look of celestial nighthawk which greatly increases the usability of gg. They need to add the symbiote. Finally the roll. Sure invisibility is cool, but it isn't needed. The roll is just that a roll, not a Dodge. I still get hit. "Dodge that" yea and I hit others as well.

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 9/28/2017 5:24:50 PMI'm actually quite a fan of the nightstalker in PvP. 100% shared damage? Sign me up. Instead of direct impacting one person I'm encouraged to aim my bow at spots that will tether the most amount of people, which isn't a bad thing. http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/RingerCheckmate/video/36837563 Arcstrider is the new selfish class option, and it works well. Combat meditation with focused breathing are some great perks that keep your ability cooldowns fast, and the damage resistance while dodging has saved me on more than one occasion. My issue just resides with the perks of the nightstalker class itself. It suffers from identity crisis.
