Because i would.
I would in two seconds, without any degree of hesitation.
We lost weapons/blessings of light.
We lost our cooldown speed, the old defender had the quickest super cooldown speed in the game at just over 3 min if you set it up right.
We lost saint-14. not an every day exotic but it had it's places.
Bubble is now almost useless in every way other than OMG i'm about to die.
But all the forum salt miners are going to say well defender is op now cuz they have the captain america shield.
Well I say keep the shield, it is a horrible roaming super, and the shield throw sucks. If you miss the melee swing you spring backwards to where you were before you started the strike. If you want a roaming super run hammers or the new striker class.
WHO'S WITH ME!!
ps, bring back saint-14 and ruinwings

Hmm that's a tough one, personally I haven't played enough of my defender Titan to make a conclusive decision, however, I would give up my captain america shield to have my grandma back :(. She was the pillar of our family and no matter what drama anyone was going through, she'd keep us all together. But last year she got into a fight on the bus and got knocked tf out, had a stroke and since then required professional care. Anyway, about a week ago in her care facility, the nurses accidentally left the security door open and she got out according to the CCTV. So, we're all worried sick because no1 has seen her since and she hasnt gone back to her old house. Police won't file her as a missing person due to some discrepancy about her being the responsibility of a private institution as opposed to state care, so if anyone sees a disoriented woman in her mid-80s with green woolen slippers and a large stainless steel kettle that she took from the facility kitchen prior to her departure, please hmu. Other than that, personally I'm not a fan of the lack of ability/trait selection flexibility for the subclasses. I feel very restricted as opposed to D1, where i could mix and match different skills to create different combinations of synergy.
