For those of you who don't know, an Aura is an aesthetic item in Destiny 2 that you receive after completing a prestige difficulty Nightfall or a flawless Trials of the Nine ticket, it is similar to the old D1 Nightfall completion buff with the exception of well ... the buff.
My question to you is do you feel they are lackluster? do you feel that after slogging through a Trials or the Nightfall, that we should be given something other than an (in my opinion) poorly placed aesthetically with no real benefit to you as the player? or do you think that Aura's are fine as they are?

The fact that they are both shades of blue is a little idiotic. Of the entire spectrum they chose dark blue and light blue for auras...
-
Theyre aimed at 10 year old cod kids
-
I was wondering what they were and how to get one. I probably wouldn't both equipping it as it kinda looks lame. That said, I'll eventually be getting it when I try to complete a prestige difficulty Nightfall. I won't be bothering for the aura but for the trophy and trying to platinum the game. They appear to have made it far easier to platinum this game than the previous one.

They’re fine. They’re just a cosmetic reward. If they do give them a buff they should double glimmer rewards. That’s a buff I would seriously want. I have more shards than glimmer half the time
-
Yeah, they’re pretty disappointing. my friend who completed the prestige nightfall got it and was very upset with the way how the Aura looks.

Edited by Beserkerrr: 10/4/2017 7:32:27 AMSince they're strictly cosmetic, we should judge them as such. I think for a cosmetic item they suck. After looking at all the art in Destiny I really struggle to understand how these auras were the best they could come up with for an endgame reward... Make my whole character glow insteadddd, it looks lame and awkward sticking out of the top of your head.
-
The only one I've seen looked stupid. But if they offer no perks, why bother?
-
Edited by ItzCharlie: 10/3/2017 3:40:41 PMI think the current Auras look a bit slapped on and look like the back rest of a bar stool. The old Blue Flame from D1 was a much better aura.
-
Should get an aura for beating the raid
-
I liked the aura in D1.. but they seem pretty useless in D2.. and its pretty silly that they have their own slot...I mean really? They went so far to add an aura slot for a useless atheistic that originally didnt have a slot... and left our vaults and inventory in shambles for space..
-
the aura is only a way to show other players that you're good enough to beat that particular instance. you get powerful engrams and high chance for exotics when beating those events and thats the reward. so, you know, stop bitching just to bitch.
-
they look silly
-
I just wish they lasted longer. You literally get the trials one for like 3 days. It should last until next trials event starts.
-
I don't think they should include any mechanic bonuses seeing as that'd be unfair to people who haven't completed the activities yet, particularly lower level players. Although, aesthetically, yes the auras should look more amazing. They mark important milestones for your character and as such they should appear mesmerizing to other players.
-
I was hoping auras were going to be a spin-off of what you got towards the end of D1. Glowing or effects to apply on every armor piece.
-
I think they are, I've never had one but I never seem to notice them on other people at all unless they're in chat going all "Mr. Meeseeks, look at me" while in the fireteam.
-
Lackluster.
-
I miss artifacts and ghosts that actually affected builds
-
They're hardly inspired And boring. Again, like everything bungie does.
-
For those who has completed the Prestige Nightfall and has gone flawless in Trials in one week, is there any difference between their auras? I see literally nothing that's strikingly different. Maybe a lighter shade of blue, but no one would be able to tell.
-
They would be a really cool reward if they lasted longer than a week.
-
Very.
-
They're fine
-
I think they are kind nice. Could be better, but who cares really.
-
They are pretty meaningless just a way to show u did something somewhat difficult
-
They look so boring. The trials one would have been cool if it added a glowing trials logo on the back of your head or something. The nightfall could have been the wipe skull.
