Maybe you guys can help me find the motivation... but I am having trouble finding the drive to play through the Main Story again to get my alts up to speed.
I just can't seem to get into the Story enough to suffer through the dialogue of my Ghost, and the sheer... I don't even know what... from the NPC's.
The Ghost seems to have outright had his memory erased from Destiny 1. And while he mentions some things from D1 to give flavor text, the fact that he's portrayed as a simpering whiner just detracts from what I'm trying to do.
The NPC dialogue makes me wish that they had been casualties of the Red Legion invasion. And Hawthorne... don't get me started on Hawthorne. If ever there were a reason to mute the NPC dialogue, Hawthorne is that reason.
And while I admit that the story is magnitudes more linear and better told than in D1, I'm having a very hard time generating the motivation to sit through it all again (two more times to be exact).
I don't know... maybe I'll just do Public Events, Lost Sectors, and the various other activities, then tackle the story in one shot once both my alts are 200+ Light...

Git gud scrub. But seriously once you get them to 20 you'll be surprised how fast they'll all get to the light of your main. Once you transfer good guns on them you'll practically be raid ready.

This is what I did - leveled my alts up to 20 and gave them the good weapons acquired by my main before I started the mission that required level 15. It made working through those last missions go much more quickly. Something else you can do - go through it with friends. I'm sure you are not the only one you know who has to do the same. Ask if they want to go through the missions with you. It is much more fun if you have some company, not to mention it goes much quicker.
