First, I wrote the first text in english and the second in my native language (german). I hope people will understand clearly, what I mean.
I realized this in the crucible after shoulder charging a hunter and get killed by him. After the charge I wasn't able to hit him again because of his amount of moving (just walking forward then backward). So it seems that Titan haven't enough radius on our tiny fists. I don't talking about range or aim assistance. I'm talking about the hitbox of our melee. This hitbox is to small.
What I suggesting is that Bungie should increase the basic swing range/radius (however you call that in english). Actuall it seems that Titans have just a radius of 60-70 degree from the middle of your sight (would be 30-35 degree there for left and right side).
SO... What I want is that bungie should increase that hit-registration field from 30/35 degree for each side to 40/45 degree for each side. The result would be that Titan melee would be more directly and playable for the closed combat playstyle of Titans. It is still sad that in 7/10 melee fights other classes wins because of the longer range and higher hit registration.
Edit 1: I add MaliceUnchained comment for more clear context for all.
I've noticed this too - connect with a charge attack, then you start flailing around like you're trying to hit a wasp as you desperately try and land a follow-up punch (because the charge melées have the impact of a damp sponge.) However, you hit nothing, because your target moved an inch, and then get stabbed/slapped/shot to death by the cocky git who didn't die.
If there are still questions about my text I will do my best to answer you.

Naa. My melees are just fine. Dont buff melee. I mean, make it a 2 hit kill yeah. But dont buff range.. Synthoseps are already broken af.
-
Is anyone's Melee whiffing a lot? I swear my titan lunges and just gives them a fake punch for shits and giggles.
-
The charge attacks in general are garbage. Damage nerfed to the same levels as regular melee, the special effects aren't any better than other melee special effects, tied to melee cooldown now and STILL require a wind up time that leaves you vulnerable while using and for a moment after. In D1 SC was overpowred. Now they're just a joke and a free kill for the opponent unless you get lucky.
-
The synthoceps have made my titan a melee monster. It doesn't improve the radius of the punch but the way it lundges you forward makes it great.
-
Pulse grenades are the only good thing on Striker. SC is a high risk low reward situation and it's not worth using .
-
Titans have had T-rex arms since day 1 lol
-
At least Titans have a means of getting extra reach. It really sucks that warlocks main feature got stolen.

What did the Titan say to the thalidomide baby?
Pffft.. Show off.
I think all three Titan charge melees need some significant knock back and maybe a brief debuff on the target. Considering we need an amount of time sprinting to be able to use them and they don't do any extra damage than a normal melee. The only one useful is the sentinel shield charge because it temporarily disorients the target. Strikers use SC and are killed before the recovery animation is over. I don't even acknowledge the sunbreakers hammer swing because it's so bad. Significant knock back would give them something to work with. Not like the cabal shield slam though. Maybe kinda like how the tractor canon knocks people back. That'd be better.

Edited by FmL Memory: 10/12/2017 1:03:09 PMOh no! They nerfed one of the most OP melees from D1! How terrible! Awwww, now you have to use your gun? Doesn't that just suck... Also, yes.. I know what you're complaining about.. and I hope they don't "fix" it. It's not broken. You just have to actually have skill to use it now. I sincerely hope Bungie quits this hand holding.

They added an exotic called Synthoceps. It helps if you research just a bit before posting.

Just saying they have an exotic titan gauntlet just for people like you... I had the same problem in Destiny 1 as well these gauntlets fix it all... if you have a problem still with these gauntlets try being in a forward motion with a single jump... The auto assist with these are just stupid as well... Last thing Titans need is a buff in this area with having an extra buff of the gauntlets... Something like symnasis or something i can't remember the actual name being a hunter main... -
Or you know just use the exotic gauntlets that make you have aim not for melee
