Hey Bungie what do you plan to do about racism in Destiny?
Are majority of the people playing this game racist? It seems that way and it’s kind of ridiculous that you can’t report players or clans for being racially intolerant. You’d think with the quick response to the hunter gauntlet issue that there would be options for specifically this reason, but alas here we are. More specifically white kids who think it’s funny to call black characters and people “n***ers, retards and fags” unapologetically.
One of whom is wanting to be a teacher for kids and that is a scary thought with having all three of the for-mentioned slurs in my family, if you have loved ones, family or friends who are part of the black community, physically disabled or part of the LGBT communities, please help in reporting these sorts of garbage humans and get them out of a community that is supposed to be accepting of all walks of life, except racists.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot more out there than the black, physically disabled, and LGBT but you're not going to rally for them? I'm just going to put it bluntly, because... well, someone has to. When you start your post by accusing the majority of the community for being racist after a single incident where you yourself are making a racist assumption, you lose all credibility. While I do agree that those kids should be reported, I don't see where making a statement about how the majority of the destiny community must be racist because you had a bad encounter with some bigots is a valid course of action. You sound like one of the youtube sjws who take a small or singular event and blow it massively out of proportion for the sake of garnering attention.

If you're experiencing this here, report through Bungie. If you're experiencing this in-game or through your console's messaging, you can also report to your console service provider (either Sony or Microsoft). That being said, most of what you're getting is likely bravado fueled by anonymity. Report them and move on, but also don't assume the whole community is bigoted because 99.9999...% of us honestly don't care about that sort of thing and would gladly stand against any idiot who does.

So report them yourself, because that's what the features are there for, and then they'll be taken care of. Don't assume Bungie or PS/Xbox is omniscient and is sitting around reading every single player's messages or verbal conversations. They won't know about what is being said by a person unless you tell them.

My wife is harassed nightly , completely disgusting sexual messages. This is more a msoft issue though, just keep reporting them for harassment, racism, and any other behavior in that category. Msoft is pretty reliable in investigating and banning the offenders.

Sounds like those are Xbox names? I tend to toss a report their way on Live. I just spell out that it was antisemitism, or whatever the case was and let the folks running the service do whatever they do. I only do it if 1) I'm 100% certain about who it was and 2) it's definitely over the line. I figure if it's an isolated incident, nothing will come of it, which is for the best. If it's repeated behavior, Microsoft will see the feedback and deal with it as outlined in their TOS.
