I can't stand this God-awful shader system, and I know I'm not alone. It's so frustrating having to stress about my shader stock, or dealing with the expensive glimmer costs to apply them. Miss being able to freely swap around my shaders and armor without having to worry about how many of the shader and how much glimmer I have.
Now I have to stress about those things. I no longer have that simple freedom of looking how I want, when I want. It restricts the aspect of customization for no good reason, and as someone who loves customization, shaders becoming consumables is my biggest complaint with D2.

The reality of Eva Levante's disappearance. She was supposed be the shader vendor. Like the Holiday and Banshee, her role was to take 3 of any given shader and upgrade it to a superior shader. That's why there's SO MANY of the frankly hideous shaders. The good shaders, you were supposed to get more of by upgrading.... Then it got in the way of their marketing strategy.... Should they get back to unlimited shaders? Yes. Will they? No. Weapon mods also need to grant perks instead of just element... The whole system needs to be reworked. No idea what the -blam!- they were thinking.
