Look at what’s happening to your player base Bungie! Can’t you see that this game is garbage? How could you go backwards from what you made in Destiny 1? This shit is ridiculous! I want to love this franchise I really do but I just can’t take it anymore it’s not giving enough and not worth it. I was so hyped to get back into Destiny and grind for endless amounts of time but by the end of a couple weeks I was practically already maxed. What the -blam!-.
Sorry fellow Guardians I’m signing off, and I feel a lot of others are as well.
Do something Bungie.

Edited by DSharp018: 10/22/2017 4:59:58 AMDoesn't every new game show this kind of population spike/decline in the first few months? You have a bunch of people coming to the game at first, and then the number slowly goes down as people get bored with what they were playing and move on to something else. And this happens for pretty much every. Single. Game. Some have different rates obviously, no man's sky for example took a nose dive that has yet to be bested to my knowledge. And then you have some games that start and stay strong comparatively because, well, the game developers knew what they were doing and did it quite right (Overwatch) but even then you still have that same pattern of a large population at the start, and then it dwindles until it has stabilized with its core playerbase. Destiny 2 is still in the decline phase for now, and I think that if it stabilizes at a number higher than the first Destiny game, then it will have succeeded and done alright.

Yeah, and I'm willing to bet that just about every single one of them will be back to play the dlc.

Edited by TaCTiCaL32: 10/22/2017 3:38:43 AMThey don't give a shit. They got our money. Shit, it's already been handed over to the live team. Remember what happened last time they handed it over? About a month later they confirmed they were working on Destiny 2. To me that says, everything is set for the lifespan of this garbage, minus some final touches. Which also means Fluke Smith is huffing furniture polish in a desperate attempt to find some form of creativity to vomit onto what he will call, Destiny 3. This shit is toast. Hockey and snowball fights? Gtfo

Lmfao you know it’s bad when the PvP players go under 1 million. That seemed to be the bread and butter in D1.

Yeah this game sucks. #FreeDabest.

“Yea this game sucks” #FreeDabest

A loss of 2 million concurrent players in the last 72 hours. I don't see how the game will make it through November

Edited by BettyB00m77: 10/23/2017 5:20:19 PMGuys, it's okay if you like this game, that doesn't make you a bad person. It's okay if we don't like this game, it doesn't make us bad people. The sad fact is that the community made D1 what it was, and the community is leaving. Many of the streamers that made this game big have moved on, and only the ones who have mega personal financial stakes like being part of the Guardiancon team are still talking up the game (but not playing it, check their streams). We WANT to love this game, and we want to have a reason to log in for three hours a day like we did, instead of three hours a week on reset. We want to be able to jump into a match and not lose three players when they see a team on the other side, and either leave ourselves or get bagged by four people for 10 minutes. Bottom line is the fanboys and the casuals might not coexist comfortably in a raid or on forums, but we all need each other for this game to succeed. Of course we're screaming like we're going down on the Titanic, many of us have spent a good deal of our lives in this world for three years. We drive around with Dead Orbit stickers on our cars and dress up like Awoken for Halloween. To lose that for reasons we don't understand... It's human to question the decisions that brought us here. I'm hopeful that DLCs bring some of that magic back, and I can lose myself again, but until then I'm going to be sad my ship sank, and there aren't enough lifeboats.

LOL, under 1 million world wide now.
-
Woah less then a million already?!!

No man's sky is destiny 2 fail after fail yet they wanna give us snowball fight 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

He's signing off do something Bungie!!!! And make that something a pizza party. With pepperoni. No olives, pizzas are not martinis. If you were cool you'd throw a pizza party. Borderland's would have made a pizza party..... In fact borderland's had a pizza party in ther game..... Why didn't bungie make borderland's? I hate you non pizza party throwing developers making games that were only enjoyable for 200 or so hours before we decided we didn't want to bother playing any more because we suddenly only cared About light level. Nothing else will ever matter! Who cares about having stuff to do if I am not given a parade and float for each little action.i don't want challenge I don't want story I don't want adventures. Power that's it. All else is non existent I. My eyes for I am consumer the great and almighty!!!!!!!! I'm also cool with Hawaiian pizza.

Oh they see it, it's just that this isn't Burger King. You don't get to have it your way right away.

Everyone is saying they don't listen. Bungie is not the problem here, it's the community. Here are just 5 different sources, from 5 different sites saying that the community does not want the grind and other changes that were made with D2:
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/175161203/0/0 https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/704532-destiny/70058790 https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3rc9wa/heres_everything_bungie_has_done_to_reduce_the/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2015/11/10/destinys-economy-will-change-but-the-grind-will-live-forever/?s=trending#551fac891365 This last one was made in 2014, saying things that should be changed with D1. Pretty sure D2 has literally all of them. www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2014/10/01/five-little-destiny-tweaks-that-would-make-a-world-of-difference.aspx?PageIndex=4
Everything that people are now complaining about, the masses asked for. On top of it I can't even begin to say how many posts throughout D1 called for "balance". I cannot take credit for this next part, and I will supply a link to the original post. But what they say is true: "The crucible? Well... the weapons are balanced at least, that what everyone wanted right? Balanced crucible weapons. And oh, no cheap one hit KO move where they throw a homing death ball move at you every 30 seconds. That was something everyone wanted for the better right? And the supers? Well, almost everything is a roaming super now, that's fantastic for 7/9 subclasses right? Way better than the 4/9 from the previous game right? (No one ran anything but fireborn in trials anyway) point is, aside from the lack of game type and team size variety, they did a lot of things to fix PvP." Rumor is the 1st DLC doesn't even have a raid. D2 will lose the PVE crowd completely if thats true.

Its called lowering expectations. You release a pile of garbage, then a polished turd doesn't look so awful. This usually is accompanied with a developer that has a smug look of superiority, like Luke Smith. You can see it with the Twitch-con reveals, which honestly came 2 weeks too late just so they could have some Twitch presence. They're adding in gear purchasing (next season) and a bunch of new items. Which seems awesome in the context of just D2. But when you expand that to D1 it still falls short. Great, give us more gear to get and a way to escape RNG, that still doesn't solve many of the core problems. Character advancement is what needs to constantly happen, getting new items that are reskins of other items does nothing for advancement. The D1 weapon leveling system would do wonders here. Let us get the new guns, then level them up while learning their ins and outs.

Edited by puppyk1sses: 10/22/2017 1:11:34 PMI still don’t see it. What game doesn’t lose a lot of players 6 weeks after launch? Did you hear there is a big update AND Season 2 AND a new DLC in just 6 more weeks? Can you guess what will happen to your cute graphic in 6 weeks? Can you guess what the daily login population did during every single DLC cycle of Destiny 1? It always waxes and wanes depending on where the game is at in its DLC cycle. Also, ~2 million pve players logging in each day is a number most games would only dream of. Everything will be just fine. Hold onto your panties.

EA scrapped visceral and said dead space 2 was a failure despite selling over 4 million copies. This was because after the stores, marketing, everyone takes their cut, it didn't make that much money. D2, by that graph, hasn't even reached 4 million and although it's based on unique daily login, I highly doubt it will be called a success. The (false) marketing for this game alone would have cost a fortune.

Daily log in does not equal total players. Most people don't play every day. Muted
