"I seem to only attract people that want to punch my face in. I dunno. Ask one of the so called gods. Maybe one of them know why the f*ck I'm cursed."
-
"I mean, I don't want to punch you yet and we're hanging out, I'd say that not everyone wants to punch your pretty face right?"
-
Star laughed a little. "I exaggerated just a tad, okay?"
-
"I hadn't noticed," Nat jokingly shot back.
-
"Pfff. Suuure." Star nudged Nat a little with a smile.
-
"So, think you'll be fine tonight? Those guys might try to look for you, you know."
-
"Do you think so?...Ugh. There's no way I could run in this condition and I still don't think it would be worth pulling my gun on them."
-
"Do you need to stay here for the night? I don't mind grabbing a few blankets for the couch."
-
Star sighed and nodded. "If it wouldn't be too much for you. I just don't feel like going back at night like this."
-
"Oh don't worry about it, Ill get you a couple of blankets," Nat said as she stood, heading to the hallway closet. She pulled out two blankets and a spare pillow, bringing it to the couch a minute after.
-
Star yawned as Nat entered the room again. "Thank you so much again, Natalie."
-
"Don't worry about it, I've been in this same situation once or twice."
-
"Well, I'll pay you back somehow. I wouldn't want this to be a lopsided deal."
-
"When you find a way to do it, just give me the heads up."
-
"I will. Goodnight, Natalie. I think I need some sleep."
-
"Alright, see you soon." Natalie would head into her own room, reading a book on her bed. The door was wide open though, in case she heard Star stealing her shit.
-
Nothing was to be stolen as not every stranger is a thief.
-
Nat doesn't know Star, therefore she is a suspect if anything goes missing.
-
Nothing went missing as Star would've woken up if anything entered the room.
-
Right, well, it's your turn to make a legitimate response now.
-
Star would wake up at sun up, yawning and standing up from the couch. "Gooooood mornin'~!" She begins to do a few small stretches, cracking her joints.
-
About fifteen minutes later, Natalie exited her room with a yawn. Five minutes would pass and she would be out of the washroom, teeth freshly brushed and face splashed with cold water to wake her up. She grunted towards the general direction of Star in a sleepy form of hello, and made her way to the shoerack by the door, throwing on a pair of leather boots to match her black leggings and tank top. She gave a small wave of the hand, almost as if beckoning for Star to come with her on whatever trip she was to make.
-
"Alright. You don't seem too talkative in the morning." Star walked out the door with no trouble.
-
"Mmph." Natalie sloppily tied her laces, then she was out the door. She brought Star downstairs from the room and cut through the lobby, brushing her way towards a coffee shop in the downtown district of the city just a few blocks away. She ordered her usual (a French vanilla with a blueberry croissant) and exited the shop, sitting at a small table out front where she began to wolf down the food.
-
Star followed her all the way to the table and sat down on the other side of Nat with her own black coffee. "Now can you talk or are you still a zombie?"
