Yo, Same thing here. My computer crashed under what I troubleshot as a video card issue so I checked for driver update using GeForce Experience. I started the download for the driver and my friend were telling me to sign back in because the event we were doing was about to complete. So I signed in before the driver finished the download and I got disconnect minutes later with an alert saying I was banned. Everything I'm reading on multiple forum posts is stating it's an overlay issue that's causing an auto-ban. I don't know what I can do now except post in here and get told by Kellogs, which he has done to every single post, what the Bungie policies are with links. While I appreciate the quick responses they are completely useless as this post I am now making. Cheers - Solid

  • Did you have geforce experience open when you were playing before, or did you only open it when you went to go update your driver?

  • I had shadowplay open and was steaming to twitch when I got disconnected and I'm not banned. Must be something else. I was using driver 388.00 at the time i crashed though.

  • I had been playing since about 4pm today. Once my computer crashed I had loaded up Geforce looking for an update, basic troubleshooting, and started downloading it. But I did start playing the game again before I had even attempted an installation. So Geforce was running/downloading an update while I was playing again and within minutes of that I had gotten disconnected and banned. The ban had happened right around 10pm. I got no code or prompt notifying me why I had gotten banned. Sad thing is even if I had went onto the forums and looked for potential issues( I'd imagine not many do that) the post I would have looked under - "known issues" - doesn't say anything about not using any overlays what so ever or your money and time is lost. If I had had a choice I would have given Blizzard $15 for them to completely run the game's servers and manage my account because they're simply the best. I've played WoW a long time on and off for nearly 11 years. They do an exceptional job but you have to pay for it. That gives you immediate access to an actual person to talk things out and resolve issues usually within an hour. I'm not talking about being banned for a real reason and getting unbanned for saying I'm sorry. I'm talking just being able to achieve a basic level of communication with a human being that's not a re-post or reiteration of every generic canned statement about cheating, restrictions, and banishment. Countless times throughout multiple expansions WoW has banned tons of people for using mods outside of what they allow or even if they had changed their minds at the very least they communicated expectations and gave a deadline for correction.
