That is just unacceptable. A manual process and no customer service to request what the issue was to take corrective measures. Bungie is absolutely the worse company I've ever made a purchase from.

That's a straight up lie. People are getting banned at the character creation screen WITH PROOF. How in the world is that fair trial and manual banning on their side?

They don't even allow people to respond to their "news." I paid $100 for this, their checking is wrong and i was banned. If they want to live with the ban they give me my money back!

It's a very real possibility that there is some software running without your knowledge from a vulnerability that your computer has. either through an application or through the OS itself. So this may be the reason that you or someone else got banned as soon as they logged in. There may have been processes running that were caught by bungie's syslog server that shows malicious access.

I don't think every one is lying, i just think that some people maybe misleading. Pretty much any company in the world has Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems. lookup IDS/IPS. These are tools that track the traffic through firewalls coming and going within an environment. Like any other company, they are utilizing these types of tools to capture any malicious activity. My guess is they use these tools during the investigation to find which accounts are tied to this. Even when you first login, sometimes the system is setup to stop the connection to the server until they can investigate. Remember there are Millions of people logging in and they have a whole team through the world who's main job is to look at these malicious connections and then ban accordingly. If this was automatically happening, believe me, WAY more than 400 people would be getting banned.

That's the thing according to Bungie it's 400 but looking at all people on her and sub Reddit is alot more. Major outlets like IGN to name one are saying thousands.

fair enough, i didn't see that. if that is actually the case, then yes, all those people are probably either temporary banned until they can investigate or erroneously banned. Sometimes they will put a temp ban on until they can fully investigate. Not sure, either way, with the amount of people logging in, even with a team around the world, they can't look at everything at one time. Either way, i hope for anyone that actually wasn't doing anything wrong it works out. i play on console and when D1 went live there were similar types of issues.

Screw that, what tools were we allegedly using? Are they claiming that they scanned our computers or just the running processes? Are they against private vpns cuz that is the only thing that they could possibly be referring to in my case. And that has nothing to do with cheating.

I've played the beta with the same programs and the only thing that changed was upgrading my GPU (980 ti > 1080 ti) and having the FCU windows update and 388.00 from nvidia (adding in Intel turbo boost max technology 3.0 into here cause that's kinda new on my computer) So am in my case, would I be getting "reviewed" by bungie or am i better off just asking for a refund from blizzard?? Jesus this shouldn't be this difficult *EDIT* I also read earlier that were supposed to get an email for the reason we got banned I've never got that email so wtf?? *EDIT 2* Blizzard just responded to my ticket with with a full refund on destiny 2, but until this situation gets resolved and with the banned accounts, I'm going to avoid anything bungie until we get some CLEAR answers

if you can get a refund do it they sated outright in the blog post that they banned aver 400 users YESTERDAY for "hacking" and that they will be undoing 4 bans. none of which will be from the bans they did yesterday so if your still banned your still banned nothing you can do.

Their anti-cheat system should at least tell us what app is causing this problem, like I said in my post literally running all the same apps that I did during the beta and I have had no issues during my time there. The fact that we can't even contact bungie to appeal this ban is already dumb enough especially that I and many other users who vented their frustration on here, reddit, and twitter, can't even get a reason as to why we were banned in the first place. Sorry if it sounds like I'm attacking you, but I'm seriously annoyed at how this is being handled. I was looking towards this game heavily after playing destiny 1 on ps4 with my friends, and destiny 2 on PC seemed like a great idea at the time..

they claim that all 400 bans were justified, and are permanent so i just lost 100 usd for having razor cortex up and untill they actually give an actual answer thats all i have to work with
