The problem is simple. Use of tools like Discord and so on is not a banning offense. Using other tools are banning offenses because they're considered cheating. The problem? I said it was simple right? It is. This is it.
Bungie lacks the basic competence to be able to tell the difference between the legit tools and the illicit tools. So as such. They are as likely to ban a legit tool as they are to permit an illicit tool, because they can't find their own ass with both hands, a flashlight, a map, and a compass.
So might you get banned for using a legit tool? Yes. Why? Not because Bungie is specifically targeting that tool, but rather because they honestly don't have the competence to be able to tell the difference between one tool and another, only that there is a tool being used.
Your role as a moderator enables you immediately ban this user from messaging (bypassing the report queue) if you select a punishment.
