What else did he have open? I read that any kind of dubugger (e.g. things that might show your frame rate overlayed or monitor your activity for performance analysis) or even a Steam overlay can cause this. Also some people are not banned, they are suspended. It's important to note that temporary "bans" are not bans.

I thought that was the problem also, but the only thing he had was discord. It doesn’t make any sense to me.
