I've heard from a few credible sources now that teams have started picking up professional gamer's back as early as the beta, Could you give us some us some more info on this?
Is Destiny 2 going competitive?

Edited by RoyalStarks: 10/26/2017 9:43:41 PMThis game will never be esport competitive. Never.
-
There no infrastructure in D2 that supports tournament play. No dedicated servers or LAN capacity. That, and the matches would just be both teams oppressing each other with MIDA's, Uriel's, and Pulse Grenades. Not very interesting. There needs to be an immense amount of work done before Bungie can even attempt to try and find success in the eSports scene.

Without dedicated servers it can never succeed!!
-
How do two different teams match against each other?
-
The pvp in this game is way too boring and slow for esports. If they try it will fail.
-
Game needs dedicated servers for e-sports to thrive.

Wouldn't be a bit surprised. Bungie had something in mind when they made the much-maligned changes in Destiny 2. And it obviously wasn't us.

No dedicated servers, no LAN support, no private matches, no ranking, , no ability to modify gamemodes, still allowing any and all gear, still not balanced separately from the rest of the game..... All reasons why this would do poorly as an Esport. Hell if MLG were were still a big thing this game would probably be I ntheir "not a chance" lost. Its better than D1 mechanic wise for competitive play but in the and it isn't built for it.
