*AND HIS TEAM
So everyone remember Chris? That emo dude with nice shoes from House of Wolves and then Rise of Iron. Well, basically, in my opinion, he was one of the developers that started to make D1 a better game. House of Wolves was (again in my opinion) the start of the turning point for the fundamental changes D1 would go through, for the better. Sir Barrett blesses us once again. All hail the king.
New systems and rewards to give our most engaged players additional, optional pursuits.
Better incentives for players who complete challenging Prestige activities.
Better rewards and replay value for strikes, adventures, and Lost Sectors.
Private matches for the competitive community (we are targeting early 2018).
Crucible tuning like adjusted Supremacy scoring and better spawning rules.
Better incentives for completing Crucible matches (and penalties for quitting competitive games).
Continued improvements to Iron Banner and Faction Rallies, including uniqueness of rewards.
Changes to make the mod economy more interesting and impactful.
Ongoing improvements to Exotics, including adjustments to reduce instances of duplication.
New ways to spend surplus currency and materials (looking at you Legendary Shards).
An emote interface that allows players to equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time.
There's more we're working on. We'll talk again soon.

How am I supposed to care about someone who worked on Rise of Iron if Bungie didn’t even care enough to simply reference Rise of Iron in their own game?
-
And TRUMP WILL MARRY MERKEL !!! Because of this great man! It totally isn‘t a lie !!! !!!
!!!
-
That should all be in Destiny 2, to begin with from the very start don't you get it! Destiny 2 is a Nerfed and completely purposeless Destiny (1). How long do we have to wait, two, three more dlc's, 1.5 years, what?
-
I expected all of these things to be in D2 to begin with because it’s the sequel, and sequels are supposed to show improvement and innovation
-
Amen to the exotic repeat fix as well as the emote thing, that's just cool
-
Its good they have those changes in mind, but 2 big questions exist before you start "throwing money at the tv". And they are; 1-why weren't they there to start? And 2- how/when will they be added? i.e. - as a future DLC? In Osiris or later? What is the general ETA for them? Those things need to be considered before saying that all is well now.
-
Reskin changes on the way, get ready Bungie is bringing back all exotics and weapons from d1, ohh sorry they already have......
-
I'm sorry, they are essentially dressing up a dead man before he is buried. Destiny 2 is very disappointing, they took away the very things Christopher brought to D1 THAT WE ENJOYED and tried to get away with cutting it off thinking we wouldnt notice. Now they bring him on "not sure where he went between RoI and D2 launch" to quell the fires they brought on. Oh well, we eat their polished turds up as fast as we can. Guess we wont learn anytime soon.
-
So if he and team saved D1, why did the main devs scrap all of his work? 🤔

Dropping this here again...
-
So will we only get 999272728229 duplicates now instead of 999272728230?
-
Give up . This game is shit. Nothing can save it ......well maybe your wallet can ...how about you grow a brain . Desticle .
-
Pfffft. Crucible will still be 4v4. Rolls will still be static. 2 biggest issues in the game and they can't do anything about either if them because the base game is so limited. Check back in 12-18 months and this beta will still be struggling to find an identity and add meaningful content.
-
This game is too far gone. They need to shut it the -blam!- down and focus on dlc for D1. The player base for D2 is already so low. And Thad because the grind is gone and the game is shit.
-
d2 is dying out hate to say it but its a fact they have come up with a whole new concept of what they think hardcore and casual gamers will like and imo they got it so wrong the things we loved in d1 should have followed over dont need to say anymore about it hardcore gamers u know ALL the changes in the list should been in the game from the start simple stuff like why can we not choose what pvp game mode we want to play so simple yet there gonna make us wait for a dlc or summit to give us that option its just bs raid loot totn loot bla bla bla its basic loot it should not be were are the buffs its just stupid why they would do that they need to sort there stuff out and read up on what we are asking for if they want to save the game imo

Deeds, no words.
-
This shouldn’t have happened, D2 is still a fail even after they fix it. They’ve had years to get it right.

Sooooooooo basically that could be next Tuesday or 3 years from now. It's a nice way to make the players think that changes are coming soon, but with everything else that should've been a part of the game since launch the likelihood of it being before 6 months or a year is slim. I won't hold my breath.

Still can't choose PvP playlist. Still only 4v4. Still slow ttk. Still butt humping team shotting b.s. bore fest. Still no ohk grenades (exception pulse) still static rolls, still one raid boss and a broken token system across all vendors, still single use glimmer costing shaders, still no content for pve, still only two static perk trees per sub class, -blam!- I could go on forever... what is this shit suggested supposed to fix?
-
Honestly, Bungie should not be lauded for this. You don't get credit for fixing your own mistakes. Just about all of this should have been evident from day 1, not a last minute intervention to save the franchise. That being said I am glad they are actually doing this, but don't sing their praises for it.
-
There's a competitive playlist. That core offering of that playlist should be - drum role - fixed PvP equipment roles. The rest of the game can then be free to be Destiny2: Mayhem Edition.
-
All these "improvements" to rewards... what difference does it make if everyone is at max light?
