*AND HIS TEAM
So everyone remember Chris? That emo dude with nice shoes from House of Wolves and then Rise of Iron. Well, basically, in my opinion, he was one of the developers that started to make D1 a better game. House of Wolves was (again in my opinion) the start of the turning point for the fundamental changes D1 would go through, for the better. Sir Barrett blesses us once again. All hail the king.
New systems and rewards to give our most engaged players additional, optional pursuits.
Better incentives for players who complete challenging Prestige activities.
Better rewards and replay value for strikes, adventures, and Lost Sectors.
Private matches for the competitive community (we are targeting early 2018).
Crucible tuning like adjusted Supremacy scoring and better spawning rules.
Better incentives for completing Crucible matches (and penalties for quitting competitive games).
Continued improvements to Iron Banner and Faction Rallies, including uniqueness of rewards.
Changes to make the mod economy more interesting and impactful.
Ongoing improvements to Exotics, including adjustments to reduce instances of duplication.
New ways to spend surplus currency and materials (looking at you Legendary Shards).
An emote interface that allows players to equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time.
There's more we're working on. We'll talk again soon.

Cautiously optimistic

You mean the guy who actually cared about the product is back? Yus!!!
-
Maybe this guy should be promoted to lead the development of D3. Just sayin...
-
YES! YES! ALL HAIL OUR LORD AND CHRIS!
Deej has been demoted
-
sadly that all seems familiar like back in destiny. they didn't actually fix anything they just kept adding more on top of the already broken crap. I guess we can just wait and see what exactly is actually going to be fixed.

Time will tell...cautiously optimistic

There's hope!

Music to my ears

Huh. It'll feel weird to play Destiny again.
-
I don't think I've ever flipped out and accidentally knocked my sweet tea on top of my dog, over a Bungie post on the forums. I'm so happy Chris is coming back!

Edited by RPColten: 10/27/2017 12:04:52 AMWhy is the link going to Reddit when the message is from the weekly-update here on Bungie.net? Nothing wrong with Reddit. It just seems odd is all.

Once again, the Live Team steps up to give some new life to D2. Shame it’ll take awhile before D2 sees some improvement. But I’m ready for them to bring back features that were present in D1 just so they can tout them as “new”.

I'm so happy by this twab. I'm hopeful , also understand they started making this game way before al the updates d1 had . In time Destiny 2 will be a really good game can't wait .

I am happy to hear from Chris. We needed someone (anyone) at Bungie to address some of the concerns we are having. Chris hit on quite a few big issues that I personally have with D2. Knowing that work is being done (even if it is weeks/months away) is encoraging. Obviously we will have to wait and see what materializes, but communicating with the players is a start.

where is this article?
-
I agree, Barrett’s the man. It def seems like he is the guardians guardian.
-
More like a scapegoat "but but but we put chris in charge, if it still sucks it's all his fault" or something to that effect.
-
Yeah I just read that part and it sounds good to me. Here's hoping a lot of those improvements make it into the game soon.
-
Finally someone who seems to know what their doing. Give the man a cookie!
