At the end of the day it won't matter because Bungie will charge $20 for us to even see the changes

Edited by Sylok, The Defiled: 10/27/2017 3:29:59 PMThey would update the sandbox, not put it on a DLC. Sandbox update are frees but all the new missions, planets, crucible maps and new loot would behind the DLC.

No. Bungie won't update this game until they release a dlc basically forcing you to pay the money if you want to see the update since everything before the dlc will be irrelevant. It's like you never played d1
-
Sandbox Updates and DLC releases are two different things. The update with the DLC is supposed to be the compatibility update for those who doesn't purchase the DLC but is still playing the game. People who didn't buy the DLC could still play with other players who have the DLC and could enjoy the sandbox update.
-
I think you are forgetting the part where when dlc releases anyone who didn't buy the dlc and all content prior to the dlc is forgotten about
-
That's the reality of games nowadays. If you want to progress through new content and gain new loot, you got to pay for DLC. It sucks but that's just how business is. Those who were left out could catch up on the DLCs in year 2 however.. kind of like how The Taken King was released with a bundle including the first two DLCs.

It can't be acceptable for Bungie and other companies to keep screwing their customers out of money with incomplete games, microtransactions, and overpriced dlc that they cut from the original game. Then lie to the community about it
-
I agree, it's unacceptable. But the designers at Bungie didn't anticipate how fast players could plow through the campaign, the grind to 265 and complete most of the end game activities. As players reach the actual end game that is in Destiny 2 right now, there's little to nothing left to do. They didn't lie to the community, they just did not anticipate how fast players completed the base game.
-
Agree man. What so I should be pleased I have to spend more money to get what was originally promised? Someone in these forums said this exact thing would happen. That we would end up having to buy the improvments. " we have fixed our game, now just pay for the fixes".
-
Stupid comment. They have never done this and never will, sure they release some updates when they drop DLCs but they're not locked behind the DLC, only the new content is.
