I think you are forgetting the part where when dlc releases anyone who didn't buy the dlc and all content prior to the dlc is forgotten about

That's the reality of games nowadays. If you want to progress through new content and gain new loot, you got to pay for DLC. It sucks but that's just how business is. Those who were left out could catch up on the DLCs in year 2 however.. kind of like how The Taken King was released with a bundle including the first two DLCs.

It can't be acceptable for Bungie and other companies to keep screwing their customers out of money with incomplete games, microtransactions, and overpriced dlc that they cut from the original game. Then lie to the community about it

I agree, it's unacceptable. But the designers at Bungie didn't anticipate how fast players could plow through the campaign, the grind to 265 and complete most of the end game activities. As players reach the actual end game that is in Destiny 2 right now, there's little to nothing left to do. They didn't lie to the community, they just did not anticipate how fast players completed the base game.
