  • Except for walking around and killing mindless ads, this requires no talent, skill or even a slight learning curve. My best friend's five year old son has been able to get a 305 Titan in just three weeks running around shooting everything in sight in the EDZ. Only time his dad helps him is when he gets new gear. He ask his dad what to do with it. Most shooters have a system of goals, achievements, ranking, skill, and a reward system. Even a bit of a punishment system for being that guy that die's all the time. Destiny has none of that. You can be the worst player on the planet or the best and there is no way to differentiate the two. Only thing you can really tell with this game is who have been loyal to the franchise and those who just played for a while and left. But to be fair, Lots of shooters, especially from Activision seem to be going down this path. They set gameplay down to the basic minimum skill level so nobody will feel left out.

  • I think his point in saying it isn't a real shooter anymore is that everything in the game except bosses die faster to melee than they do to gunfire, combine that with the fact that there is literally nothing difficult about this game aside from getting 6 people on the same page. If you can complete the entire campaign, meleeing every non boss enemy (and even some of them chumps) to death with fewer than 5 deaths through the whole thing, something is seriously wrong. When playing the campaign I felt like I was playing Halo CE on easy for that shield mark on the levels again. Enemies devastated by punches, standing on your grenades and looking at you while you slow walked up to them and punched the entire army down. It was an Interactive Movie, not a game, and it was quite boring.
