The fireteam did not recieve tokens before. Only the person that got the final shot on the resource got the token, so running with a fireteam was actually counter productive. The previous event the best way to get tokens was to run a particular lost sector by yourself, run in shoot all resources running a circular route, stop at the end die on purpose, that would reset the sector if you die in the right spot you would respawn and repeat. They basically changed it so people cannot cheese it like that anymore.
