Except for walking around and killing mindless ads, this requires no talent, skill or even a slight learning curve. My best friend's five year old son has been able to get a 305 Titan in just three weeks running around shooting everything in sight in the EDZ. Only time his dad helps him is when he gets new gear. He ask his dad what to do with it.
Most shooters have a system of goals, achievements, ranking, skill, and a reward system. Even a bit of a punishment system for being that guy that die's all the time. Destiny has none of that. You can be the worst player on the planet or the best and there is no way to differentiate the two.
Only thing you can really tell with this game is who have been loyal to the franchise and those who just played for a while and left.
But to be fair, Lots of shooters, especially from Activision seem to be going down this path. They set gameplay down to the basic minimum skill level so nobody will feel left out.
