I've been with Bungie and Destiny for too long to give up hope, I've been there through the hard times and the good time (that's right, time, cause there was only one, Age of Triumph, best time of Destiny) .
Before anyone says that it's people like me, who's fault it is that D2 is like this, can you honestly say Destiny 1 didn't get better with time? Can you honestly say they didn't make improvements with their content? Can you honestly say you preferred D1 year 1 to D1 year 3, or hell even Year 2?
-
Hope Yea, expectations not much.
-
I like D2, even with all of its flaws and bs things that make no sense on why they did it. I think it will be a great game just like D1 was. Half the community will like it the other half wont, Bungie can't please everybody.
-
I do have hope that it will be made better... I’m actually fairly certain of it. That bothers me though, I thought D2 would start off as a step forward and not backward. I didn’t anticipate it needing to be fixed and get better with expansions like D1.
-
I prefer destiny year 1 crucible over year 3, and destiny year 1 exotic quests were exactly where they need to be. Now I play casually compared to year 1 and have all the exotic guns and there's just not really anything left to desire.
-
I did before this faction rally where I cannot pledge two of my characters.
-
Bungie should have improved upon the game. That's why it was called a sequel. This game should not have come out with this little of content. I know that it has a lot, but it's a sequel. It should be a new and improved destiny
-
Yeah. Demote luke smith
-
We shouldn't have needed "hope" after 3/4 years of feedback and improvements on D1...... This game should have been a huge, open world, packed with strikes, raids, tons of weapons/armour etc.....it should have been the game they promised us......instead it's lacking in everything.....

I only come on here to get hooked up with a fireteam, but I have to say, Bungie is my absolute favorite developer and I am not afraid to say I am a fan. Ever since CE, I haven't played a FPS that feels quite as smooth. I will always play it and I know there are plenty playing still to support Bungie financially. My guess is that the people who don't enjoy this game after a certain time passes didn't really enjoy what was great about it to begin with. Additionally, there's no way these people are complaining about PvP, which is the real fun and challenge of the game. If you ever actually had fun playing Destiny, and you aren't a sore loser, I really don't see why you couldn't get some enjoyment out of it. The critics can enjoy all their upvotes, they don't count for shit. I remember the PC crybaby explosion a few weeks ago, and where are they now? I'm all for constructive criticism, but this relentless bashing from obvious Dead Orbit Pledges is hilarious.

I have hope for D2. I only wished more of my friends still played. A lot of them dropped off after D1. But I still stand and will keep my Hunter cloak blowing in the wilds.
-
Of course I do. I'm not going to dismantle the most op gun in this game.
-
Nope downvoted. RIP
-
The changes that need making are base game design. They can't be fixed because it would need the game to be rebuilt. 4v4, static gun rolls, strikes that are too long, delta scaling making everything the same difficulty and power level meaning nothing, dummed down skill trees, P2P PvP, and quite a few other bad decisions make the game pretty much stuck where it is. They can add incentives to play, but nothing will change, everything will still feel like hard work n not fun. They removed the magic
-
Just give it up already, it’s not getting better anytime soon. You’re only fooling yourself
-
I doubt it will recover. Core player experience is completely broken. There's nowhere to go beyond the public events.
-
I've given up hope...

My destiny journey ended two weeks ago after spending an amazing 14 months on a game I grew to love, The weapons, armour, unique quests, loved playing as hunter and warlock, never experienced it in any other game. Back story lore was enthralling. I can honestly say I never got bored, spending an average of 4 hours a day in the game and accumulating just over a 1000 hours game time. Yes I’m disappointed in d2 and don’t believe that the right people are behind the future of this franchise if they were we would not have this mess we have now. So no I don’t see any hope for the future, yes I will come back to do the first 2 dlcs not for interest and enjoyment but to get what I’ve already paid for
-
After 3 years of bullshit wich is geting worse? Dude you are real optimist....
-
There is no hope... Well there is if you buy it from Tess... Its $29.99, and it comes with 500 Pulse Rifles ready to dismantle into weapon parts to make more dismantable weapons and further weapon parts. This game has hours of dismantling fun for all the family!
-
I WANT to have hope for this game....but I just do not see Bungo doing anything meaningful to address any of the issues or glitches. After 3 years of D1, this is game we pay $60 for??? It is insulting to say the least
-
Funny thing with D2 is that since release I haven't seen any, “This weapon is OP!” or “This Subclass/Super is dumb!” or not even a “Red Bars running rampant!” post. People keep saying how much better D1 was but everyone forgets all the metas and server issues it had. It's actually pretty funny looking back at the Thorn/Felwinters, Last Word/Felwinters, Sliding Shotgun, “1000 Yard Aim Assist”, Self-Res Warlocks, Wombo Combo, Special = Primary, and all the other dozens of metas and trends that got everyone in a tizzy. Not to mention all those funny post about Raid Requirements and insane grinding. It actually feels kinda nostalgic trying to explain these things to my buddy who started to play D1, but got in it real late and didn't get too much into it until D2. I still enjoy D2 even through once you run through all the missions and the Raid there's not much left to do in PvE. I do miss the Strike and Loot System from D1. And the gear design looked a lot better in my opinion. I'll still play it most definitely, I just love Destiny too much, but I hope Bungie has some good steps forward planned to deal with all the criticism regarding the Endgame. And maybe rework the infusion so I can start levelling up all these hand canons I have.
-
It's too badly broken to be fixed, unfortunately. I wish this wasn't the case, but it is what it is.
-
If this next dlc isn't good, I'm out. I didn't play the ROI dlc cuz bungie didn't give us the free content they promised, and no making POE relevant again doesn't count as free content.
-
Do not give up hope my friend.
-
at this point im wondering if theres even a future for the whole franchise , D2 is getting to "no mans sky" levels of low
-
I don't know man. It would take quite a bit for D2 to be as exciting as D1, for me.
