I remember when my buddies bought Destiny 1 and complained about how crap that game was and there was no content etc... Now that the game is on PC I can finally experience the Destiny franchise and I love this game. I like the shooter / looter aspect of the game and it reminds me of Halo which I enjoyed a lot when I was younger.
I do have issues with a few things but the amount of crying that goes on these forums is just ridiculous and all the same people from Destiny 1 are crying about Destiny 2. It's like Bungie was doomed from the start with this community which is pretty sad.
I play the game 1-2 hours every 2 days and the game is fun every time I log in because I spread out the content that resets weekly. If you sit at home playing Destiny 2 for 8-10 hours a day since launch and then wonder why you have no more content to clear and its getting repetitive that is your own fault. Why don't you play another game or go outside or something? I think you will appreciate the game a little more.

It's already been said, but if you didn't play D1, you just won't know what's no longer there. I didn't get in at D1 alpha/beta, but I was an early adopter still. It had its issues, but there was something there, that intangible X factor that kept people coming back. From a technical standpoint, D2 is great, game runs and functions how it's supposed to. Its the drastic shift in design philosophy that has people bumming. If you played D1 now, you'd notice some minor gameplay differences. But things like the quest log to the vault setup and other functionality should've been in there. Don't see why those QoL things are gone. That's not even touching the static rolls/PvP balance/loot and token system/subclass customization/general reward economy that were so different that it changed the soul of the game. I'm glad you don't know and enjoy it, but I went back to D1 until/unless they make some substantial revisions to the substantial revisions they made.

No you deserve better and we deserve better this is a kids game to what it was,power levels mean nothing,no grimoire no real stat trakker so i can check my raid time or match score,no gear manager,they have made millions and think they can sell snow to eskimos

Liked because you are new to the franchise and enjoying it. I'll save the negativity to just say that if you had played D1 as a reference point to D2, your opinion on the matter might be different. D2 is a good game, but is in many ways a shell of what D1 became after 3 years of fixing the vanilla release sins, which is a bit of a shock.

Vanilla D2 is a shell of Vanilla D1. For me the things that made D1 fun isn't there in D2.

I dunno I'm 287 or 288 on my hunter and I haven't done an alt yet so I still have that to do. Also, I'm pretty sure there's content coming December 5th which really isn't that far. I also have a new raid releasing in WOW on the 28th of November which will take me away from the game for a little bit. I know for damn sure that when I do run out of things to do I wont log into the forums and bitch and complain about it. Ill log out and play something else while I wait patiently for new content.

I mean I understand where you are coming from because I know the console release was a month before PC so you guys have been on the same content longer for sure. I am not saying the game does not have issues but I guess I kind of know from past experience that games like this are low on content so you really have to take it slow. That is just how I approach this type of game and its the same way with games like WOW and Diablo or any other game where its kind of a play when content is new and put to the side when its not. Hopefully the devs are listening to whatever complaints are being voiced on the forums and those people can enjoy the game in the future.

Patience of a saint. I like to spread the content out as far as possible as well but 3 months is spreading it out to a whole new extreme. If you’re still enjoying it this far, more power to you my friend. Hopefully it lasts you longer than it did me.

taking it slow in the gaming world is unacceptable. If you dont uodate content quickly your player base will be gone.
