"Yeah, sure. I do need to work on melee a lot more, so.. we can keep going."
Niki smiled at the thought, as she assumed the combative position once more.

"Alright, let's practice blocks. Unlike in movies, blocking something doesn't have to be a huge exaggerated motion. It's simply moving something out of the way. Think of it like a clock." She says, as she assumed a combat stance. She brought her arm from 12 to 3 "This would be blocking a punch. Simply push it out of the way." The she moved from 3 to 6. "This would be sweeping someone's leg out of the way. Same ideas as a punch." This then went from 6 to 9. "This would be catching someone's leg. From there you can grab the leg and pull or push them around. Good for getting them on the ground and taking away défenses."

Niki would nod, at the actions that Eris would show her. Soon, she would begin to practice the select counters and such - starting off with the blocking, the sweeps, and the leg grabs. "So, how would I be able to counter someone with.. let's say, a melee weapon? As in, if someone swung a sword.. what would be the best way of disarming them with just my fists? Targeting their hands? Stunning?"
-
"Well, first step is get out of the way. Uh..." She said, looking around for something to use as a mock sword. She eventually found a broom, twisting the head off as to use the handle for a demo. She handed it to Niki. "First, get out of the path. You aren't going to stop it without getting hurt. I'd try to push the flat of the blade out of the way if it's coming down." She said, moving to the side and mocking to push nothing out of the way. "From there, could grab the arm and break the elbow, or nail them in the neck to make them loosen their grip and drop the sword, allowing you to take it."
-
"Hmm.. sounds effective, I guess. I've.. never engaged in sword combat. Always stuck to magic and such, for as long as I've lived." Niki would nod, as she participated in the training. She would mock swinging at Eris so that she would dodge, obviously stopping the "blade", or rather stick, on her own.

"It's all about not getting hit. You'll see stuff in movies or read in books people doing stuff like catching swords or things. Don't try to do that, it's a good way to lose something. Saw it happen to a friend once, not a pleasant sight. Best thing to do is get out of the way, then deal with the arms." She said, matter of factly. She knew this all from experience, like she said. She had seen people try to look cool in fights. Where she came from, it only ended up with you looking pretty dead

"I figured that catching a sword was an awful idea.. though Isabella does it in training all the time, just so she could punch in Arthur or Freya's jaw really quickly.. Y'know, you two might be able to relate. But Isabella's.. cruel, to people that she doesn't like." Niki would explain, while she did listen to Eris still. She kept up her charming demeanor, smiling a bit as well. "So, uh.. anything else? I'd love to keep training, but.. I'd also love our, uh.. date thing."
-
"I'm happy to teach you anything else you'd like to know. I've gone up against a good deal of different things, so I've learned what to do against them." She said, she smiled a bit as well. For someone who looked like Eris, her shorter hair and muscular structure, she was very kind "Or if you want to get food, we could do that too."
-
"...We can go ahead and get food. Is there anything.. unique, here? Oh, there's salad bowls, I hope?" Judging by her interest in salad, Niki may have been a vegan to some capacity. Not a fully fledged one, but she did like something natural.
-
"I'm sure we could find something. Salads do sound pretty good. I'll warn you though, I do eat quite a deal." She said giggling a bit as she spoke. I was true, due to her races abilities they needed to eat quite a bit.
-
"Haha. Yeah.. I'm small, but I tend to as well. Lead the way, if you want to."
Shit reply, got too many chains lol.
Eris waved for her to follow, as she began heading to the door. She had forgotten that she still had her training gear on though.
