I am extremely disgusted to think that aim assist adapters like the XIM4 and others, are actually being encouraged into a PC community. The fact these stupid adapters have the ability to pretty much give aimbot to players, is DISGUSTING. I completely agree with people getting an assist with controllers, sure. Allowing hardware to "trick" the systems into thinking they have a controller. NO!! I can't even play competitively in this game in PvP because there's no restrictions in Trials to disable these pathetic adapters. So now people like myself which i like to believe has better than average skill level in first person shooters and actually tries to improve on any sort of mistakes Is completely disgraced by a community that rather have assistance by hardware because they can't aim, play as good or even try to better themselves.. It's absolutely stupid. I'm on the verge of completely never touching destiny 2 ever again or anything created by the company.
So much for PC being the only place where you can put your skills to the test. Pay to win/swipers gonna swipe.

This is sad. Disable auto aim!

yeah i agree with you 100% it's pretty obvious the xim4 bullsh1t in D2 i run into whole teams sometimes sniping from ridiculous range and angles with hand cannons , i guess Bungie has to give them this crutch cause all those console players they wanna make $ on that's coming over to pc version don't know how M&K works Sad but true .

Since when was Xim an aim assist adapter?
-
Why blame the player for using a game feature?

XIM4 nor any other aim assist unit is a problem in PvP.... says the users of it. Majority of twitch streamers that advert the game as well as majority of the community that follow them will say that it is balanced... well in no ones surprise it is completely the opposite. There are countless streams, videos & complaints that will show that this is a bigger problem than what bungie believes. The developers say that they delayed the PC release for the optimal experience, but I feel like we have received anything below. Aim assist should not be a thing on PC... end of story. We play PC to have more control over the game with our OWN skillset, not that of a machine... it is in no way shape or form "fair". If you have to use an external device for an advantage, that is the definition of cheating. Be it from private providers or public, it is no different... it modifies hitboxes, recoil patterns and adds the exact definition of smooth aim & stealth aim, which I am more than certain anyone who has basic knowledge of any form of cheat will understand... The point is, if you are going to allow one type of cheat in for people who are willing to pay, allow them all in. It's bullshit and you all know it, be it a user of the converter units or not. If you are that pathetic at managing basic PvP mechanics, have the decency to implement a matchmaking system to separate both parties. Supporting XIM4 is no different than supporting x22.

you are wasting your time...PC has always had tech that can give one an edge...lot of YouTubers who dominated in console PVP are now getting their butts kicked from mouse and keyboard Gods...not even the Scuff controllers that gave console gamers a slight edge can help...eiher live with it and Git Gud.

Edited by Semper Fidelis: 11/12/2017 11:01:04 AMtop streamers played on console, they moved to pc and adapted really fast the gameplay with k&m - means they used it on console too - for me all „cheating stuff“ shows that they have no skill...

Do your research XIM4 is NOT an aim assist adapter. If you read xim4 forums they're posts on how to combat aim assist. Aim assist is a problem for xim users. I don't mind a debate but when you clearly have not researched anything about a xim4 and what it does!!!

Just Quit. Boycott D2
-
Yeah but you get 60+fps. Shut yer facehole, it's a worthy tradeoff

Nobody on PC is encouraging XIM usage. To be honest, we couldnt care less about whats happening on console with people using KBM adaptors.

i have to agree.this is my biggest complaint since the beta. if they're so set on letting players have aim assist on pc in PvP, then match them together. it's simple, if you have AA on, you'll play against AA users, if u don't use it you'll play against players that don't have it activated aswell. this way, those who enjoy AA can keep using it but will never play a match against those that don't want it enabled.

Edited by Melfina: 11/11/2017 8:36:27 AMDon't want XIM? Remove Aim Assist. No, i'm serious, that's the only way. You can't detect them, they look just like a controller. Note that i'm 100% for removing Aim Assist, as well as the Bullet Magnetism everyone gets.
