I turned to face Pandora, hesitating to say something as my mouth was slightly agape. The attack on the Obsidian Palace really did a number on her. I wasn't surprised she retreated, we weren't soldiers.
"I'm not mad...nor am I surprised about either of those things. The Dojo for some reason never really fell, it had gotten conquered by the Cobalt Phoenix...but other than that...no."
I decided to move closer to Pandora to get a better view on what had just happened to her. She looked like a sick puppy as far as I could tell.
"Pandora, you did what you could. Just be glad you're alive. I don't have to tell you that none of us are soldiers, just hunters who put down those that try to harm the populace for some sick desire.
Come down here, I'll heal you for now. Then we can talk more."
I had told her, the synthetic flesh on my left hand had turned into embers as I activated the Dragon's Fire on it for a quick second. Replacing the once normal hand was a gauntlet, the fingertips bore spikes as an imitation of a dragon's claw. The matte black hand was overcame with a golden yellow aura of some sort.
I was thankful I had put down Nanos and had his blood analyzed. As I reached out my arm for Pandora I had zoned out, stopping midway.
All I had ever done was murder and maim others, just for money or some other shitty desire. Not once had I actually tried helping someone, the closest I had gotten was with Olivia and that was a shitty thing to do. I felt the guilt of all my actions, and boy did it feel shitty. I wanted to change, and I decided now was the right time.
Quickly I had snapped back to reality as I extended my arm out for Pan to grab it, hoping she would take it.
