Dojo Courtyard, afternoon
Shotgun Opera...
In the empty courtyard, Reyna sat on a bench. Her standards were on, her usual guardian armour without helmet, the sponsor logos not on her. She was staring at a screen, her hair done as usual and her hand cannon resting by her side. The vides playing was an old match of hers, where she obtained her the idea for her favourite shotgun. She liked to call the merchant, the Shotgun Opera...
The mode for this match was one that had only recently sprung up, called Scavenger. This match was a small one, a total of 8 guardians there, all with no weapons. They had to find their own in the arena, a land on Mars filled with Vex Constructs and red sand. As they all got in, the dashed, looking for the first weapons they could. Coincidentally, the only weapons to be found were shotguns, Reyna finding a "First in, last out" Suros model shotgun. As Reyna watched the old match, she picked apart everything she did, figuring out how to improve.
The first kill came as she snuck up on an opposing guardian. A quick shotgun to the back, stab with a knife and life drain killed him instantly. He never stood a chance. She continued to move silently, as 3 other guardians were eliminated by others. 4 left. Eventually, she found herself in a large open space facing another guardian, an old looking shotgun in his hand. She dashed towards him, rolling to the side as she nailed him with a grenade in the chest. He shot back, missing before she put a slug in his kneecap to finish him. Toe two other saw her, enclosing on either side. She'd shoot at one, before dashing with her knife to the second, stabbing the Titan before moving over him, nailing him with two slugs to the body, one being narrowly hit by his own shot. She ran for the last one, getting his by nearly a full blast which almost killed her as she slid. The warlock jumped, as she unloaded the final 3 slugs from her gun into him, standing up. She won the match, no problem.
Reyna smiled a bit, looking back st the match. She looked at the picture of her standing victorious, staring st. her legs. They were normal, not like a Vex's but humanoid. She cursed a bit under her breath at her misfortune, but she knew there was nothing she could do about it.

"Mida get back here"says Xexa a tall but slender woman with purplish grey skin, long electric blue hair and fuchsia eyes was on the move currently going after a tiny robot ai named mida that made a direct beeline to where the woman was sitting. The robot could be seen climbing up over the edge of it right next to her. It was very small about four inches tall and color lavender. It waves at when it climbs up.

"How many good looking Guardian girls are there here? You seem to be raining down from somewhere." Bedlam said, having silently appeared behind Reyna. He stood behind the bench, leaning on his arms that were holding onto the back of said bench.
-
She laughed a bit, rolling her eyes as he spoke, "And i see many people here enjoy flirting with people above their level."
-
"Oooh...ouch." He chuckled. "Flirting? I was making an observation, sweetie. Don't think you're so lucky that I'd flirt with you."
-
"Honey I've had royalty ask for me." She said jokingly. "Don't think I don't know what level I'm at."
-
"Considering I'm technically the equivalent of a prince where I come from..." He hopped over the bench and sat beside her.
-
"That technically in there makes me curious as to why you aren't really." She said, her curiosity not being piqued as she crossed her legs, turning to face him with one arm over the bench
-
"Well, whole planet and empire was blown to sh*t and we didn't call my position being a prince so...technically." He shrugged.
-
"Well, by technicality you're a king then." She says grinning a bit
-
"Oh...yeah, I guess I am." He smirked, staring off into the distance. "Well, it feels good to be a king. Also, I just realized because of that I have a lot of...artifacts that I need to find since I now own them. I'll do that later though."
-
"An entire planets worth. Sounds like quite the task. On the bright side though, could find something to really strike it rich with. Everyone has their own ways of doing it."
-
"I'm already rich. It's not for the money. There are specific artifacts with powers that I need to keep safe. If I can find the right ones maybe I'll even be able to recreate my people...if that's a good idea." He groaned. "I have so much responsibility now...this sucks."
-
"If you're a king and rich you could hire people to do it for you. Or hell around here find someone to magic you up some servants to do it."
-
"No, that's...ugh. I'll figure it out some other time....Wait, how did flirting with you turn into this?" He laughed. "That's a strange turn."
-
"So you admit you were flirting." She said, laughing a bit. "And honestly, this is how most conversations of mine go. Generally helps curve off the people who think they're good enough to hit on me without any effort."
-
He laughed along with her lightly. "Well, of course I was flirting. I do it by accident a lot. I was just trying to cover it up because I'm actually...somewhat invested in a girl now, but it's complicated. I don't really know what's happening."
-
"Started your way into a relationship? Nice, good to have someone to care about. It can suck at times though, if you ever end up losing them, it's hard on you..." She said, knowing from experience what that was like. Her ghost materialized next to her, floating. The shell was all black, with golden tips. A large crack ran at a slight diagonal down the center of it.
-
"I-I...I don't know though. She recently became a widow and still clings to her dead lover. I feel like an *sshole for simply falling for her at a time like this."
-
"If you're already friends with her or in the position to, try and give her some comfort through that. Don't try and hitch it up right now, trust me won't end well. Just, help her through it if you really care for her."
-
"I am, but sometimes I wonder if I'm doing it selfishly or if I actually care....I'm not used to this...this feeling. My people don't normally feel like I do now. We're generally so selfish yet when I see her I just want to make her happy for some reason."
-
Edited by Lordbakon: 11/15/2017 11:28:54 PM"So long as you aren't in it just for her body than I'd say it isn't selfish. You want her to be happy, cause you think that it'll make you happy. Chances are, it will if you love her."
-
Edited by Stitch: 11/15/2017 11:34:15 PM"Love....Most confusing emotion in the world." He sighed. "I'm totally crazy about her..."
-
"Then once she's done mourning, and you help her get through it, tell her. Don't think like the movies and best around the bush, doesn't usually work.@
-
"Yeah, that's a good idea. Thanks. Kinda figured that on my own, but thanks."
-
"You'd be surprised how many people think just hinting really works."
