I do understand the work they put in, but a lot of work can be put into a plane that never sees full scale production. The YF-23 being the first that comes to mind. Though some heart was put into that design. Actually, that isn't really a fair statement. Destiny 2 is more like the F-35: trying to make something that can do everything tends to lead to something that excels at nothing. It handles well, looks pretty good, but is outclassed by other aircraft in nearly all aspects when it comes to overall performance, capability, and value. So it's a lot like destiny 2: an rpg with very little variety in terms options and role-playing elements, an mmo without any real social features beyond a hub and an emote feed, an fps with the most basic of cannon fodder enemies and bullet sponge bosses, and a looter-shooter without loot that truely sticks out and changes the experience in ways that make you want to chase it down. So much potential, but not enough focus to achieve it.
