Well said, sadly many never will understand what it takes to create a game, its not just slapped together over a few weeks like it seems some things take alot of planning, prep, and excecution, across many fields followed by bug testing.
Hell those reskins many are complaining about take longer than creating the mesh its wrapped around, they are not 2d flat textures, there is also alpha, bump and glow mapping. Dynamic textures and effects etc.
The models (mesh) themselves are often the easy and quickest part to create and makes sense to reuse as the rigging and collision coding is already done for it.
