"Trade is essential to an empire."
Dojo, Outer System.
=====================
Months now nothing had been sent, and nothing received. The Dojo had also gone quiet, and that was more than enough reason to investigate. Odin may be a resource rich planet, but some things where not there, and trade was needed with other planets. So when one of the major sources of trade goes quiet, you don't just ignore it.
The ship flew through the massive Heimdall gate, a literal controlled hole in space time, instant travel, a marvel of scientific engineering. The decently sized craft was a gunship, gun-metal gray and carried five peoples. Each of them not normal, super soldiers, their bodies altered through blasphemous rituals of medical and biological engineering. Valkyries where meant to be the best in what they do, and they did a damn fine job of it. Among them stood Amanda Frye, the other three being part of her personal fire team, the other last one being an extra, just in case.
Piloting the craft, it soon broke atmosphere, darting to the planet. A radio scatter system active, a cloak flicking on as well, masking them both physically and figuratively. With the Dojo silent, they needed to not be seen.
Once they broke cloud surface though, they realised the problem; the sight of the Dojo, mostly in ashes and ruin, and the massive dome that extended above in a section of the city. That's why it went quiet. Someone actually took down the Dojo.
Amanda scoffed, as behind from the cockpit, Connor spoke, in awe at the sight, his helmet off.
"Damn, that thing is massive. Who the hell could have even done this?
Hundreds have tried, last I checked never succeeded."
Amanda yelled back then, equally confused.
"Don't know, but whoever it is I'm making sure they leave with a broken jaw!"
She growled, angling the craft down to land inside the Dojo, opposite of the massive energy dome. Giving the green light, the four in the back each prepped their armor and weapons. Powered armor and strong weapons to match it all, the might of a Valkyrie was unmatched.
A few minutes later, geese scattered as Amanda touched the wheels of the craft down at a secluded spot near a small forest, the craft remaining cloaked for now, as the five made sure it wouldn't be found, and then turned their attention towards the city.

Staring...waiting. This was what Peacekeeper, the Geth Prime, felt as it stared it’s one massive eye in the direction of the group, specifically at Amanda. A Shotgun laid on its one side, it’s back connected to a LMG weapon of sorts. He was clearly at around 8 feet, and despite the weapons didn’t look hostile. In fact, the Prime could be described as being bored. Yet despite that, he stared his one red eye toward the group. Waiting for...something.
-
After a bit, one of the soldiers noticed the red light, and grabbed the attention of the others. In their own closed, encrypted channel;
O: "Ay, Amanda, what the hell is that?" A: "No idea, assume hostile until we get further details."
At that, each pulled varying weapons, the Amanda person pulled a sniper, Olivia a rifle, Thomas a DMR, and so on. Raising them, they each aimed at the light. Amanda spoke then. "Hostile? Friendly?"
-
Edited by A Stormy Dio: 11/19/2017 2:11:33 AMThe Prime stared at all the weapons, scanning them all. “Provocation of weapons does not help in a potential First Contact scenario, Female-Human.” The Prime simply told Amanda. “If you wish for this to not become a hostile encounter, then please lower your weapons.”
-
Each weapon was high powered, one energy rifle, the sniper a form of high powered coil rifle. More weapons where scanned as well, but unimportant at the moment. A moment of silence went by then.
A: "Lower them" T: "You can't be serious." A: "Thomas, that's an order."
Then, all at once weapons lowered, while Amanda waited.
-
“That is most ‘pleasant’, as humans that I have met spoke.” The Prime told them, lowering himself to their height via kneeling. “What is your designation, Female-Human? The Consensus Of Geth will be interested in humans with more advanced technology than the Alliance, or other humans I have met had.” He explained, basically asking Amanda for her name.
-
"Amanda, what is you're designation?" She had vague encounters with the Geth, and knew partially how they where.
-
“I have been designated as ‘Peacekeeper’. Geth Prime, armed as one of the scouts of the Consensus. To scour our new locations where the Geth may stay, and live in peace with other species. Tatakai is one of our possible destinations within the Milky Way Galaxy.” The Prime explained, looking at Amanda’s colleagues. “Who are your other two allies, Human-Amanda?”
-
"Don't worry about them for now." In truth, there was five in total, but each seemed far different in what they did. Amanda seemed to be a scout, with the way her armor and weaponry was set up. Olivia decked as an EOD and heavy weapons, Thomas the support and seemingly field medic, and so on.
-
The Prime nodded its robotic head in understanding. “Perhaps we may talk to each other. The place known as the Dojo has seemingly been...attacked. A bastion of powerful warriors, dissipated. The Consensus has seen this and has asked me to assess the damage, and find the culprit. Once those objectives were complete, Geth would drop from the skies and support in rebuilding efforts.” The Prime explained.
-
"We're here to reestablish trade relations with the Dojo, and possibly the occupying force helping it." She nodded then, a worthy cause the Geth had.
-
“A very noble and peaceful cause, human-Amanda. Despite this, I have looked on the extranet for reports. Nearly 2 months previous, the Dojo was attacked by faction known as the ‘Imperial Remnant’, whom had come with droves of soldiers, attempting to claim Tatakai as their own. A few weeks after that, there were reports of fire within the Dojo. Based on such, a multitude of instances such as may have caused substantial damage to Dojo...and had allowed Faction-Trayven to take over.” The Prime said to them, looking toward the Dojo.
-
"Aye, I deduced most of that. This Trayven faction I've been told has helped the Dojo a good bit."
-
“Quite.” Replies the Geth, before something proceeded to enter its mind. “I believe the Consensus wishes to know a question.” The Prime responded, scanning Amanda, intrigued by the data it found. “Genetic modifications detected. Akin to Human Alliance Soldier Class, but more powerful. More heavy and denser bone mass than that of Krogan species. Much more sightful than Turian Sharpshooter. More nimble than Cerberus Phantom. Am I correct that this data is accurate...and may I ask how you, Human-Amanda, received such powers?” Peacekeeper asked.
-
"Extensive biological modification. Genetic mutation. Otherwise I'm called a super soldier. My planet knows it as the Valkyrie process. I am a Valkyrie soldier." She wasn't afraid to share that information, it was who she was.
-
“Valkyrie...will keep that into database for future use.” Peacekeeper told Amanda. “Perhaps you may help me in making sure the Geth make landfall here. Find out what needs rebuilding.” He tells Amanda, looking to her colleagues.
-
"Possibly, but for now we're only here to negotiate trade deals, and then leave."
-
“Of course. I have officially added my communication device to your own, Human-Amanda. The Geth will send soldiers in your direction if necessary.” He tells Amanda. “You...will be an ally to them.”
-
"I don't doubt I would be. Usually when people meet me, or others like me, they want me shooting with them, not at them."
-
“Of course. They’ll eventually be a case where you must destroy an enemy. Perhaps even alongside my kind, or the Dojo. That time is currently encroaching upon us. Proves spot big, unknown threat moving their way to the Milky Way.” It explained.
-
"What threat would that be?" Amanda had to ask, curious as to what the Geth meant.
-
“Deep space probes spot something...mechanical. A multitude of ships. Something referencing a ‘Fomorian’. They come slow, an army, most likely.” Peacekeeper warned Amanda. “Unknown whether they come for Tatakai or not; will remain to be seen.”
-
"If they do, my legion is ready to help defend this planet." Rose nodded to the Geth then.
-
Nodding back, the Geth Prime proceeded to set up some kind of beacon, kneeling and opening up some sort of Omni-tool upon his arm, looking back up at Amanda.
-
Amanda simply cocked her head out of confusion, her helmet masking her expression however.
-
“Beacon. Notify Geth to begin possible rebuilding here on Tatakai. Establish possibly outpost, for now.” Peacekeeper explained.
