"Trade is essential to an empire."
Dojo, Outer System.
=====================
Months now nothing had been sent, and nothing received. The Dojo had also gone quiet, and that was more than enough reason to investigate. Odin may be a resource rich planet, but some things where not there, and trade was needed with other planets. So when one of the major sources of trade goes quiet, you don't just ignore it.
The ship flew through the massive Heimdall gate, a literal controlled hole in space time, instant travel, a marvel of scientific engineering. The decently sized craft was a gunship, gun-metal gray and carried five peoples. Each of them not normal, super soldiers, their bodies altered through blasphemous rituals of medical and biological engineering. Valkyries where meant to be the best in what they do, and they did a damn fine job of it. Among them stood Amanda Frye, the other three being part of her personal fire team, the other last one being an extra, just in case.
Piloting the craft, it soon broke atmosphere, darting to the planet. A radio scatter system active, a cloak flicking on as well, masking them both physically and figuratively. With the Dojo silent, they needed to not be seen.
Once they broke cloud surface though, they realised the problem; the sight of the Dojo, mostly in ashes and ruin, and the massive dome that extended above in a section of the city. That's why it went quiet. Someone actually took down the Dojo.
Amanda scoffed, as behind from the cockpit, Connor spoke, in awe at the sight, his helmet off.
"Damn, that thing is massive. Who the hell could have even done this?
Hundreds have tried, last I checked never succeeded."
Amanda yelled back then, equally confused.
"Don't know, but whoever it is I'm making sure they leave with a broken jaw!"
She growled, angling the craft down to land inside the Dojo, opposite of the massive energy dome. Giving the green light, the four in the back each prepped their armor and weapons. Powered armor and strong weapons to match it all, the might of a Valkyrie was unmatched.
A few minutes later, geese scattered as Amanda touched the wheels of the craft down at a secluded spot near a small forest, the craft remaining cloaked for now, as the five made sure it wouldn't be found, and then turned their attention towards the city.

You have a whole city to do it, after all
Orn, you know what to do
The energy sped up, and let out an astounding shriek that pierced their ears, even through their gear. It was unlike anything they had been subjected to before. The entire area filled with white light, and it began to burn into their minds. How? Their armor should have been able to block it... The shriek peaked, filling there minds with nothing but whatever that energy was. Their memory of the encounter was fading. It was as if the device was altering time itself... In an instant, it was all gone. Everything they had witnessed was gone. It was like they had just landed...
That shit is something new that's going to be featured in the winter plot. Now: *Cue any of the other posts* This pretty much happened before, if that makes any sense
The trees of the forest would rustle, with a bare movement. The wind whistled throughout the woods, a hushed silence falling over Amanda and her team of troops. Such silence was.. uncomfortable, as if there were eyes upon their being. And if there were, the ideal place to search was the forest. Initially, the Trayvens wouldn't learn of these Valkyrie and their leader, Amanda, without the assistance of scouts in their possession. Scouting the area for stationed spies would be an ideal starting point.
-
Amanda herself was a scout, her fireteam being the initial group to send into a hot zone and then see what was going on, then fight. As part of their training, the four split up, the fifth staying at the ship to guard it. Each of them cloaked, all five hidden from sight. Amanda pulled her sniper off her back, flicking the safety off as she gripped it tight in hand. Her visor swapped to an thermal mode then, whispering a command to her three other comrades to do so as well. They searched then, if there was a hunter out there, they where now the hunted.
-
They would spot quite a few "hunters". Humanoid beings, male and female in shape, in total twenty-four, would either traverse the woods in Amanda's proximity, at least at a long ranged scale. It was unclear whether they were searching for them or not, or simply patrolling. Some wielded shortswords, others with bows. They seemed.. outclassed, compared to the Dojo. Cannon fodder, against Valkyries. So how were they victorious?
-
The fact their armor and lack of weapons seemed distant would explain it. Most likely they countered range, which made their weapons useless. Although each Valkyrie was fully capable of dominating in close quarters. She halted each of them, watching for a bit to deduce the hunters means, not knowing if she should move on or not.
-
The scouts seemed to have been investigating and watching for intrusions, if anything. Each one kept a horn at their side, while there were two robed beings amongst their ranks. The robed beings may have been mages, to some degree. It would be up to Amanda to initiate anything, though.
-
She would ignore them for now, instead her and the other four cloaked, disappearing from sight as they each began creeping towards the shield dome of the Treyvan camp.
-
The dome stood rather strong, as Amanda would get a good view on the fortress then: lined with watchtowers and thickened walls, trenches lining both the inside and outside of the mighty clear dome of magical properties. There was one way in, and one way out, at least from their view.
-
They needed to get in, and that meant heading to the main gait. In a closed channel;
Amanda: "Weapons away, we aren't aiming to be a threat right now."
With that, each put away their weapons, mag locked to their armor, as they went for the main gate.
-
As the soldiers would approach and enter the barrier, they could feel their guns lock into safety, as if the barrier was.. disabling them. The soldier's stratagem was bringing down nations to their level of combat. A few archers and watchmen would notice the group, ringing a few subtle alarms. The gates would open, a small welcoming party lead by an officer in a purple uniform approaching. "Who would seek out the Trayvens at our garrison?"
-
Amanda was correct, and there was no way to reverse it.
A: "If shit hits the fan, melee, weapons are hardlocked and unusable when in or near that barrier."
A green light winked in her HUD, they all understood. Amanda stepped forward, the other four hanging back a bit ad Amanda would play ambassador. "We come to talk, seeking you're command or commanders to discuss a few things. Most namely the current state of the planet and why it is you're group, Trayvens, is here."
-
"I could retrieve Lady Isabella, for such negotiations. She would be advised for such.. dealings." A scout would then run off, towards the direction of the Dojo. It was funny.. their "lady" was in the Dojo. Minutes later, and a woman, towering yet shorter than the Valkyries, would arrive, blood soaking from the side of her arm. It seemed as if she had been stabbed in the side, though she was handling it well. She was fully armored in black steel, having to look up at the giant soldiers. She took off her helm, revealing.. well, I've described Bella before for you, lol. "...I have to admit. I'm actually terrified right now, and seriously impressed. I mean.. you guys are fuсking impressive." "Ma'am.. they were looking into the recent trade issues. They held trades with the Dojo.." "Oh, all of that. Yeah, we can chat, get those running again. Seriously.. sorry about that." Isabella would hold out her hand for Amanda, having to look up. "Isabella Trayven."
-
The sight of Bella made Amanda huff in amusement, as she removed her helmet, revealing a paler complexion, ginger hair and vibrant emerald eyes. Despite being a metaphorical giant, Amanda was a looker, still young in relative comparison to most people. She had the face of a goddess almost, a few flaws, freckles and a scar on her jawline. She shook Isabella's hand then. "Amanda Frye, glad to know you're willing to negotiate."
-
"...Well, I.." Isabella nodded a little when she looked up at Amanda, in a slight amazement. "-Didn't know I was negotiating with a beauty, anyway. Guess you're bred to be a marvel at both kicking ass and being sexy as hell, huh?" The captain coughed a little, muttering "Lady Isabella.." as the purple-haired woman merely cleared her throat, nodding. "Look, we can chat in my quarters. Get comfortable, that sort. Your guys can come around, survey the area, check weaknesses in fortifications and whatever."
-
Amanda smiled then, a pearly white grin spreading across her face. "Well, I'm a monster in a fight and in the sheets as well." A few of the soldiers behind Amanda chuckled, they all knew that their leader was a flirtatious woman. "So, about the trade deals, mind we head inside? Rather than stand out here." She gestured to the inside of the dome then.
-
"A few of mine say the same, though I'm afraid that I'm outclassed. We'll have to see, though." Isabella shrugged with a smile, beckoning for the gates to open wide. As they creaked open, she would motion for Amanda and her troops to follow freely, as she spoke while they walked. "The trade routes from the Dojo were initially shut down when we came around, as we would take mostly everything that were on them. The cash, weapons, resources.. yet to use them, since we figured that the people of which they belonged to would come around. Couldn't use them anyway, too - we're medieval shits, not a sci-fi army from the future."
-
Amanda smirked. "Well, those trades where vital to my planet, was a big source of income and output for us." She had to admire their power though, for being an empire of melee focused combatants, it was mighty technology they had. "Maybe not only with the Dojo, we could trade with you as well? We may have massive strides in science, but can help in other means. Melee and ways similar isn't hard to make or forge, especially on Odin. Our Ragnarok Forge is capable of making any number of weaponry and the like." The soldiers followed Isabella, garnering a lot of stares. Something of their stature was rare, with kits so advanced and powerful. Each of them had a different walk, Amanda herself being cocky, but militaristic. A gunslinger, per say. She was confident in her abilities.
-
"Trayve's known for it's for gold, alloyed steel, and leather, with a few others in the mix. I don't see you guys showing much interest outside of gold.. even then, I figure that your lot would have a new currency. Not to shut you guys down.. but a trade relationship between us would only really benefit my side, unless you're looking at foods and such." Isabella was brutally honest, while she held her tent open for Amanda to get into. Even then, she would meet the roof. "I dunno, though.. the Ragnarok Forge would be hella useful."
-
"I'm sure you could always use weapons and armor. My planet doesn't use steel and the like, we use more dense and stronger metals. We do use gold, still a worthy metal, used to decorate as well as trade and sell. Food is welcome as well. You're tech, if it us yours, would be a worthy trade as well." The other four waited outside, Amanda stepping inside of the tent, nearly meeting the roof of it.
-
"Ah, the shielding stuff.. ...We can hook you up, alright. Though you'll probably be stuck in melee for a bit, though I don't blame you for it. Those big hulking bodies.. and you in general. You'll give your foes one last beautiful view before it's all.. over." Isabella seemed to drone on the thought, before smiling. "But yeah, we can trade these."
-
Amanda grinned, appreciating the comment. "Yeah, I'm a decent match for really just about anyone. Even you, if you want~ The shielding though would be amazing on the battlefield, with a bit of tinkering, I could have it work in my favor, and against the enemy."
-
"Even for me.. Of course. Though yeah, we'll get the trade moving through in a little bit. Now.. if you're interested, you wanna stay by for a bit? I could get you a pretty big meal, maybe chat a little. You seem pretty interesting." Isabella smiled a little at Amanda. She was alright, to the shorter purple-haired woman. Militaristic, understanding, and raunchy enough for Bella to get to like.
-
"If it means working out trade as getting to know a figurehead of another faction, yes, I'll stick around." Then, she turned back to the other four, yelling an order to go retrieve the ship and bring it closer.
-
"Ha, alright." Some time later, and a dinner would be served: it would consist of steaks, meats, vines of grapes and salads - practically limitless. Other than seafood, though. "So.." Isabella would start off, smiling. "Guess your lot uses super big soldiers a lot? Concerning that there are literally five of y'all.. on a negotiation. How big are the girls over there?"
-
Amanda huffed out of amusement. She was out of armor now, a rig in the ship she arrived in able to pull it all off. For now she was dressed simply in jeans, boots, and a military jacket bearing a logo on it. The soldier out of her armor was an odd sight. Amanda's body was well endorsed, ample assets, toned body, she was as beauty as deadly. "Its standard precaution, the worst was assumed when we where sent. And no, not all are. Just the ones like me, otherwise known as a Valkyrie, a super soldier. That's why I am the way I am. I'm the soldier you send when you want something killed four times over, the one you send to win a war using a simple fireteam." Amanda shrugged then, it was natural to her, it was who she was. Reaching forward, she grabbed a few items, setting them on her plate.
