"I kill and I run and I do everything in my power but it doesn't matter. YOU have it easy. YOU aren't in danger of being hunted because you aren't human. YOU aren't hunted because of your actions."
She said, walking up to him and poking him in the chest with an armored finger

He stood still, looking at the goat with his calm eyes, as if hurt. He felt the strain which he was poked before speaking in a rather small voice for his size. Kill? You seem to throw that word around like it is casual, part of your life. It's a heavy weight, throwing it around will only make you tired.
-
"Why do you think I was created like this? Why do you think I can shoot? I was made to clean up the messes of cowards with power. That kinda works here, don't it?"
-
Well, I can throw my axe, but it doesn't mean I have too. He patted the large weapon, removing the hand from his chest. Unless those cowards have an army on their side I'd say you'd fair pretty well, if your temper wasn't so harsh.
-
"Well you know what, my temper is just -blam!-ing fine." She said, her voice a hiss now
-
Oh yeah? What if I were to hunt you? Get you a little mad, then crush you when you got close? He chuckled, seemingly becoming cheery even after being slightly sour. But violence isn't my way- I choose to avoid it, unless necessary. Though necessary changes with the time.
-
"Oh joy. Another one of you guys who thinks they have the moral high ground cuz they have self imposed rules. And would you look at that, you can justify anything with them too!" She said, her sarcasm dripping from her words
-
Moral high ground? Sure, sure I do. In my view, I put these rules on so I won't become like... Well, you. Or any of those wackos running around in high-tec armor with miniguns. I'm sure you've seen them. He gestured towards the camp, and sighed. But I also am afraid- which is why I don't join the fighting force.
-
"The difference between you and me, is that I'm still fighting because I don't want anyone else like me to have to be like this. You're just running to save yourself."
-
No- I'm running to save the one I love most. Without her, I might have ended up a fool in armor with guns bigger than myself. I don't care about people who I do not know, and have no reason to bother. It's better to protect the person I care for at their side than on the front lines.
-
She stopped, considering. "My...apologies..."
-
No- Asking my question was being ignorant. I shouldn't assume all animal people are actually those animals. That said- the person I speak of will probably tear off my head if I don't get this wood back in time. He stuck out his massive hand, it was rather rough and quite calloused. I'm Dale, Dale Morrison. Stop by the The Good Knight's Night if you get tired. Best sleep In your life.
-
"Dale?.......wait.... Didn't we meet before? On Amoridia?" She asked
-
Not that I know of, I wouldn't go off planet anyways, I don't do well with heights. He put his hand down with a small look of disappointment and spoke again. Though I suppose there's someone else with my name out there.
-
"My bad. That would seem the case."
-
Hehehehehehehehe There is a reason they have similar powers though
Yeah. Well I'll catch you around, I have to leave now, and maybe I'll only end up with one scar. Turning his back and walking off, he made on last comment. And don't only fight for others, be a bit selfish sometimes.
-
"I could help." She said, following him.
-
Oh, alright. He began trudging off towards dojoville, not too far away. You sure they are going to allow you to leave the camp? Aren't militaries like super strict here?
-
"Nah, I'm more or less a mercenary."
-
Yeah- me too when the tavern is running low on cash. My wife would kill me if she knew, but I play it off as a side job. By now, they had reached the gates of dojoville, where he pushed through, and began clearing a path in the crowd. And by kill I mean turn me into a frog and Chuck me out the window. Only lasts thirty seconds.
-
"So whos your wife?"
-
Elincia, a b-list Mage and tavern owner. It was love at first sight. He put it rather bluntly, cutting himself off as they reached a small, long wooden tavern. Surrounding it was a massive patch of grass, where wood tables rested, most were empty, it seemed the tavern was in a lull of work. Massive roots seemed to pop out of the grass here and there, as if a large tree had once stood in its place. A small sign hung that said "The Good Knight's Night." This Tavern. It's where I managed to throw most my problems away.
-
"I'm part magic actually." Alpha said matter of factly. "You guys got a drink that won't buzz me within a glass?"
-
Milk, it's good for the bones. He opened the door, and immediately, the smell of roasting meat and burning wood filled Alpha's nose. The inside was much bigger than the outside, apparently the b-lost Mage was better than what Dale had said. Several tabes had a few people in them who waved to the newcomer and Dale, before returning to their food. In the center was a massive fire pit, where a knight with a frog's head was roasting flies in a bucket, and in the back was a large bar. A woman with long black hair was there, and rather short, pouring a glass of a thick dark liquid. Almost immediately one of the plates from the car flew at Dale, smashed against his unharmed arms. It reformed and was back on the counter in no time. A little late? Yeah. Met a new friend. She told me she'd help us out with something. Looking up, the woman sighed, and slid the dark liquid over, placing her hands on her chin. You okay, hon? That man isn't exactly the most attractive... With a chuckle, Dale began walking across the tavern, expecting Alpha to follow. This is... Uh...
-
"Alpha." She said, extending a hand "Pleasure to meet you."
-
You too, lady, I'm Elincia. Now take a seat and tell what you want. Think about it for a bit- I have to have a talk with big bear over here. Taking him by the ear- having to tiptoe to do it, she pulled his head down... Or rather he leaned down to be pulled away behind a back door, leaving Alpha alone to think. It had been five minutes before they returned, seemingly content with one another. Think about it?
