We need another species introduced to this game, any ideas?
As an original Destiny player I have bought and played through every expansion and completed all the missions. We haven't really gotten a new enemy race in any of these. All we get are new "factions" of enemies which don't even really count (i.e the red legion, house of wolves, and more). Now some may find this satisfactory but I really don't, we need a new fully fledged species for the newest expansion, and I really thought that Destiny 2 had the possibility of creating a new one. But we just got a new group of cabal that could have passed as expansion enemies, not a whole new game of enemies. And before you say the Taken were new, they were really just recolored and slightly re-abilitated versions of all of the previous enemies we've faced.
So instead of me and other players trying to complain more about it without getting any reaction from Bungie, lets try to come up with ideas for a new species to get Bungie moving on this. Any ideas are welcome and please only give constructive criticism.
Ok, here's an idea (crazy to explain lore wise, but possibly good in practice):
Medieval expansion featuring Akamhara as enemies.
I was reading some exotic lore bits when I noticed that they all speak like Ye Olde Englishmen (who are on drugs, but who can blame them for wanting to mellow out man?). So I got the idea: what if they made a medieval expansion where they make all of the classes embrace their D&D class roots, and have comedy of that variety? Make Titans knights, Warlocks wizards, and Hunters... (hunters, I guess?) Have the Akamhara behave as dragons do in Tolkien novels (smart, sofisticated, and easily liked) and have Cayde-6 banter with them like we all wish Billbo did.
Any takers?
