The Jaeger-8 Working Party is the primary political party of the system. Its founder is Devin Frohm, a patrician member of the mining colony and its sole owner. After his father's met his unfortunate and unceremonious demise by a sudden stroke that resulted in fatal blood loss, the will of Mortimer Frohm gave the entirety of the family inheritance and the ownership of over half of the mining core to his son. Known for his good looks and charming public image, Devin is the sole owner of the Trigon Corporation, an incredibly lucrative business centered around the use of energy-condusive alloys for the renewal and reuse of power. It is centered in Jaeger-8 due to the incredibly dense asteroid population there and ease of access as an often-used trade route.
However, Devin began the Working Party after noticing the increasing amount of Marauder activity within the system, as the scavengers prey upon innocent travelers and merchants, pillage their wears, take their ships and boot them out of their own airlock into cold, empty space. Fearing a great decrease in profit margins due to Trigon's reliance on passing traders to buy and re-sell their products, the young entrepreneur realized that measures must be taken in order to prevent the demise of business. He pooled much of his profits into enlisting a private army full of mercenaries ready to go to war, and spent even more on outfitting them with weapons, living equipment and military gear.
The last remaining Frohm, the first of which was the original discoverer of the system, knew preventative action was the only way to keep his owned land and inherited business alive. He began campaigning as a major political figure to represent Jaeger-8's industrial roots and capitalist ideals, vowing to free the system of the Marauder's powerful predatory grip. Using many connections over years of business and putting his boundless charisma to use, he got parts on televised debates, talk shows and commercial spots in order to sell his brand of Trigon as well as his political ideals. It worked. The legalist ideals that Devin has imposed upon the people and oligarchy lead by business executives and statesmen entrust the entrepreneur and his associates with authoritarian power. By using martial law to keep the civilizations in Jaeger-8 safe from internal crime and external Marauder attacks, the duty of the citizens is also to be patrons of Trigon and buy their products as a form of unorthodox taxation.
The Working Party's powerful military force named the Justicars are plentiful in number and relatively strong. Their most common soldiers are lackeys freshly adorned in scrubs and with basic the basic Trigon Energy-Caster firing plasma that is incubated by the company's signature conductive alloys and shot through a narrowing muzzle that reduces the form of the erratic plasma to a consolidated, clean burst. On top of this, they are fitted with sleek, black armor that protects from kinetic weaponry through layered kevlar weaves and few shots of plasma weaponry with energy-resistant conduits glowing from within the chestplate. The commanders of the Justicars, known as Praetorians, use powerful railguns mounted to heavily-plated and slowing armor in order to destroy entire escorts and vehicles with only a few powerful shots. Tanks and jet fighters are commonly used, supplied with common tank shells and plane munitions, and large freighters are used to carry troops as well as vehicles en masse across Jaeger-8.
The only things impeding the absolute control of the Working Party are the Marauder's constant offenses toward powerful city-strongholds protected by Devin Frohm's private army and the powerful hold of the Warrior's Requiem on critical parts of the system.
