This is serious feedback, not criticism. I hope Bungie can fix this.
To play certain content i,e, the Raid as a solo PC user I must:
I start up Destiny 2 game and login as my character
1. Use external companion app/forums to recruit or join a fire team, or use 3rd part LFG site
2. In the Blizzard app that launches games, I have to find by typing the random username (which may or may not be different from their Bungie forum username, easy point of failure as a user) and add usernames from the LFG group and invite them as friends on Blizzards side
3. Back in Destiny I send or open a game invite from the new ‘friends’ to actually join the fire team in game
4. Every single fire team I’ve joined requested I join a Discord server channel then. not use in-game voice chat. So start up the Discord app for PC, manually type in the Discord.gg URL from the chat window in Destiny (apparently no hyperlinking or copy & paste from the chat), then go into their Discord channel to talk.
Now after manually using 4 different programs, with a lot of manual, error-prone typing obscure screen names and URLs I’m allowed to play the activity with people who I don’t know, who may not know the raid or could be bad players.
And this is even a shorter process than waiting 20-30 min in the Guided Games queue. This compares to the 1minute or less it takes to get into a random Strike or Crucible match
If you refuse to add raid matchmaking, please resolve the issues with all the manual, external app steps 1-3, and then add an easier way to open urls for Discord from within the game client.
!!!Also can you please just let us join a chat room in the tower to just do LFG ourselves. In game? It’s so simple to just let us do it there.
Me in tower: need 2 for nightfall
[two people respond]
I select them from the roster, click send invite
Boom, done, have my fire team, ready to go

Couldn't you just join a clan?
