Mulling Things Over
Alpha
Somewhere above the Dojo grounds
9:30 AM
She sat there, alone. Her armor glistened in the light of the morning sun, the faded orange the only real color amid the lifeless white and blue of her own body.
The music softly simmered from the little holotape player she'd managed to hijack from somewhere. She had a faint feeling it was Wilson's or one of his friends at one point at some time, but it didn't matter right then.
The smoke curled up around her face, and she took another pull. This was nice. For once.
When she wasn't -blam!-ing everything up. Alpha seemed to be making that a habit of hers.
She looked down at the photos in her hands, Drake, Winchester, Sawyer, Irina, Pandora. For all she knew, none of them knew or wanted to be near her.
So, she sat there, waiting.

"R-Really?" She perked up a little, and breathed out calmly. "Y-You mean it? No joke?" She asked, wiping her remaining eye. "Please. Yes....I don't want to be alone anymore. I can't....thanks. It means a lot." She said, smiling. Alpha looked at the drink with apprehension, if she said she was drugged by her former friend, then maybe it was by alcohol? Regardless, she nodded to the liquor. "Mind if I take a sip?"
-
Alpha's reaction brought a smile to Jason's face, the old man nodding in response to what the goat-girl said, while he picked the bottle of booze back up, leaving the cap on the ground. "Yes, yes, I mean it... just don't make a mess of things, eh? And, yeah, sure, you can take a sip... part of the reason why I even got it from my ship -- careful though; it's damn strong." Without further warning or ado, he handed the fancy black bottle over to Alpha, the smell of it immediately hitting her like a truck. It was a nice scent, spicy and very rich, giving her a good hint at how the drink would taste... it was nice.
-
She took a sip, sighing in relief from the burning in her gut. "Damn...that's actually good." She said, nodding at the drink. "And I won't. I have a small ship of my own but it's pretty much just the pilot's cabin. I'll park it near yours later."
-
The drink tasted exactly as it smelled, really, all spicy and rich rather than bitter and depressing. It was damned good booze, Jason taking the bottle back and taking a swig of his own, clearly not minding that Alpha would be sharing it. "Okay, yeah, sounds good. My ship's a bit more than just a cockpit, but it should probably work out... It certainly isn't my cruiser."
-
"Thanks." She said, smiling another one of those sweet smiles. "I won't let you down."
-
"Aye, you better not... gonna be ration bars and protein shakes until I stock up on actual food, though, so keep that in mind when you move in."
-
"I could help with that. Not a lot of people know but I'm filthy rich because of the Hermes raid."
-
"Guess that makes two rich people, eh? It's fine, though, because if you're my guest, I am supposed to provide, aren't I? You can pay rent, however..."
-
"Thanks. I will, since I probably can for a pretty long time easily." She pointed out "Since we're both rich and shit."
-
Jason chuckled quietly, taking another sip of his drink before passing the bottle back to Alpha, curious whether she liked it enough to take another swig. "Aye, that we definitely are, you and I."
-
She did, smacking her lips and passing it back. "Yeah. Not that it does shit for either of us."
-
Jason took a swig of his own then, a good three quarters of the bottle remaining by now. Silently, he passed it back to the goat. "Aye... what're you smoking, by the way? Just a normal cigarette?"
-
"Just....whatever I could pick up fastest. I have no clue. I'm new to it." She said, eyeing the carton while taking another swig, a light blush appearing on her face
-
"So you likely got something shit then..." Jason chuckled lightly, pulling his arm from around Alpha's shoulders to reach into one of his pockets, the goat-girl soon getting a glass cylinder with a forest green, plastic lid on it, and inside was... what seemed to be a blunt. "Smoke this, kid... it'll, ah, calm your nerves if you're still feeling a tad on-high -- which you likely do. I use 'em to deal with the arthritis."
-
"'Arthritis'. Jason I was a medic on the Arrowhead. I'll deal with Tobacco because at least with this sci-fi medicine shit you can treat cancer." She said, waving off the blunt.
-
"Yeah, arthritis. Most of me is metal, yes, but the parts that aren't? Oh, Christ..." It was true, really... at this point, only half his pelvis, one of his shoulders, and his skull weren't a cybernetic of one kind or another. He took the blunt back, slipping it back into the pocket it came from. "I'm old, you know. Very... very fuсking old."
-
"I'm a lot older than you think." She said, winking at him
-
"I think I'm seventy at this point," He replied, realizing he had completely and utterly lost track of his own damn age.
-
"Biologically and Mentally I think I'm 19. Chronologically I think I'm....200?...300?...I don't know."
-
Edited by Nibber Schipper: 11/25/2017 11:47:40 AM"Oh, blyat... Fuсking Christ. Yeah, that's... that's a lot older than I fuсkin' expected for sure." He was shocked and surprised for sure.
-
"....I didn't learn much. I was frozen or locked in a cell for most of it without any way of aging. for most of that my body and mind was about 13-14 years of age." She said, sighing "I'm a pretty -blam!-ed up person."
-
The fatherly Russian made a lengthy 'hmm' noise as he thought, pausing to take a sip of his rum, only to pass the bottle back to Alpha again. "I'm sorry to hear that," Was all that he managed eventually, still so very bad at conversation like this -- it just felt weird to him.
-
"...Don't be." She said, having some sort of private reason for saying such
-
Edited by Nibber Schipper: 11/26/2017 1:23:33 PMAnother 'hmm' came from Jason, his right hand moving up to his face, fingertips lightly tapping along his manly man jawbone. He didn't really respond with anything, instead just sinking away into his own thoughts and memories, reminiscing of his own past.
-
"I'm gonna go now." She said, standing up. Her voice was ever so slightly slurred, so it might not be a good idea to let her park her ship yet.
